Notes
Principal cast: Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer. Producers include: Eric Valentine, Semisonic, Russ Ballard, Guy Chambers, Juan Patino. Engineers include: Stuart Epps, Michael White, Nick Launay. Fans of NBC's hit program "Friends" who couldn't get enough musical sustenance to satiate their appetites for reminders of their favorite urban sextet will rejoice over AGAIN. This disc includes offerings from some of pop music's most talented singer/songwriters and alternative rock acts. The disc is also interspersed with sound clips culled from some of the show's most side-splitting moments. Despite its lighthearted lyrics, Smash Mouth's "Every Word Means No" is reminiscent of the Smithereens. Another hard-rocking cut is "Angel and the Jerk," which combines the talents of Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong and former Avenger Penelope Houston. Loreta's "Trouble with Boys" is a bit of sticky-sweet, danceable bubblegum pop while Robbie Williams delivers an Elvis Costello-like version of the Pet Shop Boys' "I Wouldn't Normally Do This Kind of Thing." Chrissie Hynde and the Pretenders even team up with Lisa Kudrow for an inspired take on the show's now-classic "Smelly Cat." AGAIN is a can't-miss acquisition for fans of the show or those simply looking for a set of pop music that delivers.
