|Five-star Rangers storm past Sturm|
Rangers FC put on a five-star show as they cruised to victory against SK Sturm Graz in the First Group-Match Stage of the UEFA Champions League at Ibrox.penalty.
The Scottish champions forgot their indifferent league form and turned on the style, killing off the game with three goals in the first half. They could even afford to see Jörg Albertz miss a 55th minute
Rangers step up a gear
Rangers have struggled on the domestic front so far this season. They are five points behind early leaders Celtic FC and surprisingly have the worst defensive record in the Scottish Premier League.
But they stepped up a gear for European competition and Dutch striker Michael Mols - who was outstanding after almost a year out through injury - gave Rangers the lead after nine minutes, thanks to some persistent work from his fellow countryman Ronald de Boer.
Sturm Graz defender Gilbert Prilasnig was trying to shepherd the ball out for a goal kick, when de Boer got behind him and pulled the ball back for Mols, who rifled it home from eight metres.
