YOUR #1 SOURCE FOR CHEAT DEVICE CODES

    New Revolution - Code Master - 07-13-00

Well, not more than a couple days later, it appears that the final version has trickled its way out via http://www.xianaix.com. And wouldnt you know, there is a Features file to look at to see the new additions. Not sure how xiaNaix got ahold of the final release so quickly, but nonetheless, we have checked it out, and it is indeed the final. XiaNaix runs a very kewl site for advanced Cheat Cartridge users. Definitely worth checking out if you have or havent seen it in a while.

Next order of business, now that this new version is released, we will support the new features IMMEDIATELY, and not 'After a lot of people have it' like I've heard in the past. Here are just some examples of the new codes we can make now.

    Tomb Raider 2
    Infinite Health (All Levels)
    C308C6B8 0001
    91000022 000003E8

    Tomb Raider 3
    Infinite Health (All Levels)
    C309923C 0001
    91000022 000003E8

WOW, after all this time, it takes just 2 codes to get Infinite Health in ALL Levels in a Tomb Raider game. The innovation for this new C3 code type was from a member of EFnet that mentioned this type of code to myself. And obviously, I thought it was a great idea! lol Its too bad N64 users cant use this type of a code, imagine, Infinite Health 007 All Levels, 2 codes.... Oh well, something is better than nothing.

Also added as well is the addition of the standard C2 code type, not a major improvement, its just supported now. But a couple other major improvements the 12/22 code types. They are in fact 32-bit Increment/Decrement code types. And for the average user that is not too technical about this kind of information. The highest an 8-bit Increment/Decrement code is 0xFF or 255. When the value is 255 and you increment it 1, you dont go to 256, it goes back to zero. So if you had a joker code and put the L1 button value there, and put the 20 code type with your teams score modifier address in a football game. Your score would rise from 0 to 255, and would reset back to zero. With a 16-bit Increment, the highest the value can goto is 65535, and if incremented further it resets to zero. Sure this good for say a sports game having a score this high, but what about a pinball game ?? You would need a 32-bit Increment to increase your score beyond 65535. And thats where the 12/22 code types come into play :)

Also, another annoying bug was finally fixed in this version too, you can constantly write a '30' code via GSCC 2000. That was a big pain in the ass to actually find the code, and press 'Activate' only to see a big crash :) Also, when a newer version of GSCC 2000 is released, you can be sure it will support these new code types in the Code List updator/downloader. It is really great to actually be able to find something that you need, when you need it. You'll see new codes popping up on our pages for sure, and remember folks, GameShark(tm) won't have these features. And being it is so late in the game for PSX/N64, I wonder if their makers will add this to it.....

Its also rumored that we are going to start offering upgrades all you older gamers that have an older version of the 'Grey' Cheat Cartridges for psx. This is a true rumor. You have a busted cheat device that no longer works, or if you just want a newer version that our codes will work on. Or if you want to use your cheat device to play imports. (Which you still have to use the 'swap' method. But even the swap method has come a long way, with the addition of the Auto Stop funtion.) An upgrade will be available soon for $5 + $3 shipping. No matter what the case, or what version your software is, as long as its not "Game Shark Pro(tm)", we can FIX the problem :) Whether it has GameShark(tm) software on it, or some other software that you bought it with. It will be able to be upgraded for a small fee in the near future. And with the above rom being released, you know what software we use :) I just wonder though if the upgrade will be the rom that was released? ;) Only time will tell. As if this isnt already great enough, another good thing about this upgrade, is that this upgrade is no longer offered by anyone for the 'Older' devices. All in all, it will be a great upgrade/fix for a great price.

Another thing I thought I'd mention is an N64 Code Type FAQ like the one we have for PSX is being made. It will be plastered on the front page soon as its done :)

Well, that about wraps up the news for now. Take it easy and thanx for supporting GSCCC!!

If you feel like typing an e-mail that will be read and probably wont get a response, feel free to vent at codemaster@cmgsccc.com. Even though I dont respond to emails that often, I do try and read every one.. I just dont have the time to answer all the E-mails with the prompt attention they deserve.. I'm sorry for this.. if you have something that requires a response.. 1) goto our java chat or 2) post a message on our Message Board.
