Fitz Hill - Recruting Coordinator/Assistant Coach (Wide Receivers)
By far the longest tenure among the current staff of Razorback assistants belongs to Hill, who is beginning his ninth season with Arkansas. He has coached wide receivers the past seven years and has been recruiting coordinator the past two years.
He has tutored a talented group of receivers that were outstanding again in 1999. His wideouts combined for 142 catches for 2,096 yards and 12 touchdowns. They averaged 14.8 yards per catch. He worked with Anthony Lucas, who set Arkansas' single season record for receiving yards in 1998 and the career mark in 1999. He also coordinates the Razorbacks' recruiting efforts, assigning areas of responsibility and setting up home visits among his many duties.
Hill also coordinated another outstanding recruiting effort by the Hogs that culminated in a solid signing day in February. Most recruiting services had Arkansas ranked in the top 25 nationally.
Hill has made bowl trips, all with Arkansas. He was a volunteer assistant at the 1990 Cotton Bowl and the 1991 Independence Bowl. He coached wide receivers at the 1995 CarQuest Bowl, the 1999 Florida Citrus Bowl and the 2000 Southwestern Bell Cotton Bowl.
