What hath come before:

At the base of Mount Cha-Nathi, one of Mo'Pri's right fingers, stands a newly built structure that shines by night and by day...the Temple of Angelique.

Raised by the first people to come to Angelique's service, it stands proud, deep within the territory held by Angelican forces...a bastion of Light in a world of growing Darkness.

At the entrance, engraved in bronze, is a plaque with the words of a simple prayer:

I ask leave to enter into these grounds, blessed of Angelique. I serve Her name and Her purpose, and accept Her wrath if I speak falsely.

Telani walked towards the great least it still remained! So much of the land was the same...and yet...without any sign of previous habitation, looked foreign yet.

The Temple lay open and silent. Telani approached the doors, and knelt in prayer.

"I ask leave to enter into these grounds, blessed of Angelique. I serve Her name and Her purpose, and accept Her wrath if I speak falsely."

Standing slowly, he stepped hesitantly through the threshold. All was silent. None remained in the Temple. They had all either left or vanished when Telani himself found that he was no longer within.

Telani strode forward to the altar, and prayed again.

"Angelique, upon us thou hath once again placed a time of testing. In what manner was thy great achievement laid low? What force didst manage to destroy all that we had build, making it as if nothing had e'er been?"

"Angelique, in thy name, I shall continue to serve thy Just cause. Though I know not how it was taken, what has been lost CAN be regained."

With that, Telani stood once more, and turned to face the great doors...wondering who else remained that might return in time to the Temple.

The Tower yet stands

Approching the temple very slowly, I stop to glance imposing structure.

This is the temple of Angelique? I would have expected to see at least a small simple garden of flowers near by.

Never mind that, Angelique is beautiful enough on the inside to not need beauty surrounding her outside as well.

Entering the gates, I stop. Bending down I speak the words of the ancient:

I ask leave to enter into these grounds, blessed of Angelique. I serve Her name and Her purpose, and accept Her wrath if I speak falsely.

Standing up, I slowly walk in and place my self in front of the alter. Bowing down as best as I can. I give my thanks to Angelique.

I thank thee Angelique for helping me to find a home. To helping aid me in seeking the answers of my past.

Sitting there and thinking more, Should I thank Angelique for sending Richard to me? No, she already knows how thankful i am for that.

Standing up, I slowly walk towards the entrance, undeciding if I should stay here a while, or leave.

Seeing that no one is coming into the temple with me, I turn to leave. Spending this time so close to the roots of Angelique gave me an idea.

Now if only I can get some assistance with it, I know it will work.

Walking out the door with a smile on my face, I hurry towards the hall to discuss this idea with Telani.

"I ask leave to enter these grounds, blessed of Angelique. I serve Her name and Her purpose, and accept Her wrath if I speak falsely."

Entering the temple in anguish, I prostrate myself before the altar. My people, my lands, my armies; lost, all lost to the heathen. Destroyed as if they had never been.

"Why, O Angelique! Why!"

Unbidden, the ancient words from the Liber Paginarum rose to the forefront of my mind:

Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against Angelique, and against Her anointed, saying,
Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords,
She that sitteth on High shall laugh: Angelique shall have them in derision.
Then shall She speak unto them in her wrath, and vex them in her sore displeasure.
Yet shall I set my king upon the land of mo'Pri.
Ask of me and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possesion.
Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potters vessel.
Be wise therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
Serve Angelique with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
For Blessed ar they who put their trust in her.

With this, my heart lifted, and I went forth to once again do battle with the heathen.

OOC: Arriving from Meditation Grounds -

Though he'd not been to the Temple in quite some time, ManMeat new the words by heart...

"I ask leave to enter into these grounds, blessed of Angelique. I serve Her name and Her purpose, and accept Her wrath if I speak falsely."

He entered the Temple, his loves aura was strong here...and fresh. Yes Sshe'd been here most recently. He saw Equus deep in prayer. Manmeat said not a word, but knealt beofre the alter and briefly prayed as well...

"Angelique...I thank thee for giving me Wyldfyre...I pray thee, please help me find her.

He kissed the ribbond he was carrying, turned and quietly exited the Temple.

He took a brief look around and then walked in a tight circle to get a better feel for where Wyldfyre could be. The Magick Shop, though very close, seemed not to be where his Wyldfyre would go. Besides, ManMeat had some misgivings about magic....'twas something he had a bit of fear of, for magic is one of the few weaknesses of the ManMeat's...especially this ManMeat.

Having gotten his bearrings, he frustratedly said aloud...

ManMeat then planted his right foot firmly in the ground, then squating low lept into the air spooling himself out as a thin black tendril...arcing in the direction of the Library that sat atop the tower of Inverness...

Fear not, for death by Assasin hands is quick!!

Wythe fled the keep at dusk. So busy was her mistress preparing her forces for war against the so-called Pretender goddess, she did not notice her servant's departure.

Sobbing, the nymph pushed her horse to its hardest endurance.

Wythe rode as if the demons of hell were at her back. Still miles away, the sharp peak of Cha-Nathi gleamed like a beacon, it's blue horizon a promise of the refuge she sought at the Temple at its foot.

Wythe rode as if the demons of hell were at her back. And indeed, this was not far from the truth.

[OOC; as a center of Angelique, this post reflects the new political climate brewing amoung certain guilds and the Oleana faith]

Bhalar peered into his scrying pool and with a laugh he turned away.

"Tis a mockery and a point proven the weak of Angelique's leaders swath a path to peace with the peace chanting heathens. I have waited long for such a mistake by my fatalistic and unwise allies to begin to prove to the masses this faiths weak nature. NOW, now begins the rift with the blue goddeses's legions which will separate the fearless and wise from the skittish and pretenders. The time is approaching for when like a cocoon the Blue faith shall shed it's dead skin and become an advanced form of fortifications of people and allies. This sick attempt at a treaty with the entire church of Oleana will bring much death to these lands, much banter and finally much division , division from those that have since the beginning weakened this faith."

Bhalar grinned deeply and thought long into the future and his own plans.

"Those that support this peace with Oleana are enemies of the Dark Crown and all true followers of the Blue Goddess. They only stain our goddess with the thoughts that she isn't enough to protect them. An insult to the highest degree to a god. Those that remain faithful to the Blue bitch and their own people will thrive and mayhaps finally put together the alliances of intelligent leaders this faith has always needed."

"Now begins our future."

Caleb arrives at the base of Mount Cha-Nathi, and gazes up at the Temple of the blue mouse he giggles to himself as he approaches the entrance of the temple kneels and speaks the prayer engraved on the bronze plaque, then leaps to his feet and raises his arms skyward chanting. Shortly thereafter he shimmers and fades from view, in his new invisible state he enters the temple to watch the goings on very carefully, for this is where the battle lines shall be drawn within the faith, this is where the true followers shall be separated from those who are merely heathens who truly worship the green mouse goddess and seek her protection. Caleb rolls his eyes and notices Wythe glance in his direction as she catches a glimpse of his form shimmering out of the corner of her eye. Maybe I should remain more still Caleb thinks to himself not wanting to reveal himself currently he finds a place to sit and watch the events unfold.
