We can rail away here unrestrained, but he has to deal with the players and coaches, and protect that access in order to bring us the data we value so highly.

He did a great job capturing and describing our feelings in '99, but (like some fans) was probably misled by this year's string of lucky wins over inferior teams, or, more likely, just felt the need to give BD some credit for 7 straight wins.

Ultimately, I think Prister a) sees through Davie, b) is a skilled writer, c) loves ND, d) has to be more restrained than us.

Don't see how he can risk burning his bridges to the program and still get us the data we need to fuel our diatribes.

But I believe he and Lou S. are of one mind and good heart. They can take turns nailing Davie sometimes. This issue was Lou's turn, but I suspect Tim's turn will come again, sooner rather than later.

Personally I'd pay someone to put out a less politically correct, more fiercely anti-Davie rag to compete with BGI (only until BD's gone), .... if Pub writers would agree to have their posts fill its pages?

: Prister openly kissed Davie's ass. I realize he is bowing to pressure, but that's exactly what a journalist is supposed to resist. I thought it was sad. The problem is: how can you trust his integrity in the future knowing he can be pressured into writing what he doesn't believe? Lou stayed the course. Tim, unfortunately, displayed the dark side of journalism.

: Am I being to harsh here?
