|In 1960, on the campus of Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, Bob Petrillose created the Original French Bread Pizza, which he named the PMP, or 'Poor Man's Pizza'. Serving PMP's out of a truck called 'The Hot Truck', Bob still serves his legendary PMP creations seven nights a week.
Originally, Bob's menu had pizza by the slice. He realized that selling pizza by the slice often meant serving an inferior product, so he decided to put his homemade tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella cheese on butterflied lengths of special French bread. It became a great success, so much so that the idea was copied by Stouffer's kitchen. Bob named his first hot French Bread Pizza Sub the PMP and trademarked it.
Over the years, variations of the PMP have been created by adding a variety of fresh and homemade toppings. We know you will love the taste of the WGC, Sui, MBC, Indy, and all of our other signature French Bread Pizza Subs.
