BILL STEPHENS
Bill Stephens
(CBS Sports Reporter)

Bill Stephens joined CBS Sports in 1996 as a reporter for the CBS Television Network's coverage of the Watkins Glen 200. He reported for several events in 1997 and 1998, including the Daytona 500. He also serves as a feature writer for several motorsports publications, including AutoWeek and Drag Racing magazine.

Stephens has served as co-host and feature reporter for ESPN and ESPN 2, as well as special correspondent for the Nashville Network's NHRA Today. In addition, he produced, wrote and narrated Wheels for PBS in 1997.

A winner of the 1991 and 1996 Telly Award for Outstanding Television Production, Stephens began his broadcasting career in 1984 at WVJV-TV in Boston, Mass., where he hosted a live morning show and was associate producer of "Boston SportsBeat," a live nightly sports wrap-up and interview show. He has served as producer/writer/narrator for Global Television Network, including Wild about Wheels for the Discovery Channel and Speedvision and as associate producer/co-host/feature reporter for Diamond P Sports.

Stephens was born Oct. 16, 1949 in Brookline, Mass. He resides in Osterville, Mass., with his wife, Deborah and their two children, Billy and Sean.
