Over the past 15 years, AMS has developed an extensive collection of proprietary conversion tools that function as pre- or post-processors of the CORTEX MS software components, improve their overall features and performance, or simply replace them all together. For example:

• Conversion requirement analysis checklists and associated VSE material analysis tools

• Separation, formatting, and pre-processing of VSE elements supplied for conversion

• Replacement of CORTEX-DMT for the validation of the VSE supply, with improved conversion inventory documentation (cross-references and formatted lists)

• Substantial performance improvements to CORTEX MS mass processing for program translation, compilation/link-edit and JCL conversion

• Replacement of CORTEX-DMT for COBOL translation both to OS/390 and to the latest compiler level (COBOL 390)

• Replacement of CORTEX-DMT for Assembler translation to OS/390

• JCL and code conversion for Easytrieve, Dylakore and Quickjob

• Utility program to read VSE-created DOCTOR/D tapes under OS/390

• Improved extraction, audit, and listing of CORTEX-PDB’ data

At the current time, AMS proprietary conversion tools are not offered to the general public. They are used by AMS as part of its consulting services.
