Acres is providing engineering, procurement and construction management services to the Volta River Authority for the rehabilitation of a 912-MW hydroelectric power plant in Ghana.

Acres completed a technical audit of the plant and made recommendations to upgrade the plant capacity and efficiency, and to extend its operational life. Detailed design has been completed, and international contracts awarded, for the supply and installation of the necessary plant.

Acres is now managing the construction phase of the retofit while the power plant remains operational.
