Soldier: John Daniel Little
Unit: Company F, 57th North Carolina Infantry
In looking at your list of Confederate soldiers from Cabarrus County, I notice that my great-great grandfather, John Daniel Little, is not mentioned. John Daniel Little, husband of Leah Carriker Little, and son of Daniel Little and Mary Harkey, served in Company F, 57th North Carolina Infantry. I have contacted the National Archives and obtained documentation that he was admitted to St. Charles Hospital in Richmond, Virginia on October 5, 1862 and died October 9, 1862. However, I have been unable to locate his place of burial. I have contacted the North Carolina State Archives to see what information that could be obtained there, but to date have not received a response.
