Black
or Pugh's Mill Bridge
1868
One Mile North
of Oxford, Ohio
Butler County

This is a 200 foot bridge over Four Mile
Creek.
| The Black Bridge was first built in 1868 without the center pier. The next year, Butler County Commissioners authorized the addition of a center pier and a remodeling of the covered bridge with new braces so it could sit upon it's new pier squarely. The old Black Bridge has been bypassed by the modern S.R. 732 and is being re-furbished by the Oxford Museum Association. There is one other Butler County, Ohio covered bridge: The Fairfield Bridge in the Governor Bebb Pioneer Park. |
