Croatia seal Scotland's fate

Croatia qualified for the quarter-finals of the UEFA European Under-16 Championship and knocked Scotland out after winning their final Group D fixture 1-0 at Worksop Town.

Few chances
An uninspiring first half produced few real chances for either team. Croatia managed to force some goalmouth scrambles in the Scottish area, before Ivan Grivicic sprinted clear of his marker to score with a shot across Scotland goalkeeper Kieron Renton.

Excellent display
Renton proceeded to produce an excellent display to hold the Croatians to only one goal in the second half and Croatia now have a quarter-final against Turkey to look forward to on Monday.
