Today, CMLL TV ruled all of earth. I had noticed on Highspots' Newsboard that the May 14th taped show had a ten man tag with all the young punks and good old guys that was said to be espactacular, so I just had to tape this show. Unsuprsingly, this show rocked and I ended up getting a **** match on my hands. The show opened with them hyping Great Sasuke in Mexico. They showed clips from the match that would air later, of him hitting a tope con hilo into the third row and landing on his feet, and of him hitting a perfect German Suplex Bridge on Zumbudio. The first match was Headhunters/Emilio Charles v. Doctor Wagner Jr./Ringo Mendoza/Gran Markus. These types of matches seem to be on every week, where they take one of the great young punks, toss in two or more fat guys, and fill up the remainder of the six spots with old men who aren't good. Very annoying. Nothing in this match to write home about. Charles does a good tope. Markus is just there. Techincos take it in two straight falls; from a Headhunter splash and Ringo Mendoza getting DQed for excessive Rudisimo by pulling up Emilio off the ground instead of pinning him way too many times. Now for the good stuff. The next match is a ten man tag to determine the no.1 contender for Sasuke's title, the last two men left remaining square off. The Rudos come out to heavy metal song "Du Hast" by some bitter angry man. Technicos out to some sort of Spanish club music. The match is Rey Bucanero/Ultimo Guerrero/Violencia/Fuerza Guerrera/Black Warrior v. Tarzan Boy/Olimpico/Pantera/Zorro/Tony Rivera. The match starts off with mat work between a rudo and technico, as they go down the list of wrestlers, in standard Lucha style. Black Warrior hits a spinning Powerbomb on Tarzan Boy. Olimpico hits a beutiful 720 armdrag on Guerrero. More squaring off between the pairs. Violencia is out soon out, from a missile dropkick and Texas Cloverhold from Zorro. Zorro is soon to follow after a Black Warrior flying elbowdrop. Black Warrior injured his arm on the fall, so he is stretchered out. Bucanero and Olimpico have a little brawl on the outside. Meanwhile, inside, Tony Rivera uses what can only be described as a slingshot armdrag on Guerrero. But he misses a missile dropkick to the newly in Fuerza, and is pinned. Tarzan knocks Fuerza to the ground, and hits a spinning pescado to the floor. Ultimo G. gets tagged in, and hits a tope suicida on Tarzan Boy. Pantera comes over to hit Guerrero, but gets caught with a Bucanero tope. He is thrown back into the ring and pinned by a Guerrero back suplexy thing. Olimpico hits a plancha to the floor on Bucanero. He goes back in the ring, and tries for El Nudo Lagunero, but gets kicked off. Ultimo G. goes to the floor, and Olimpico follows with a corner dive, but catches his foot on the rope, and lands head first on the floor. Bucanero pulls him in and hits a fisherman's buster for the fall. It's between Bucanero and Guerrero now. They get caught with a double clothesline. Guerrero knocks Rey to the floor, and hits a tope. He tries for a rana off the apron, butgets Powerbombed on the floor. Slingshot Senton by Guerrero. He pulls him back in and uses a powerbomb/facebuster for the two count. He tries for a Moonsault, but gets caught with Ultimo's Reverse Superplex, and that's it. Awesome match, 22 minutes of solid, non-stop action. The only thing I don't get is where Fuerza was eliminated. I would say after the foul on Tarzan Boy, but he remained in the match. Momentos Estarles: Mr Niebla uses a handspring back headbutt, Zumbudio/B. Warrior use dual topes on the Fat Headhunters, some guy in gold and blue uses a move that looks like a standing delphin clutch on someone. The guy looked helpless. Emilio Charles uses a tope suicida on Ringo Mendoza. The main event is Sasuke/Negro Casas/Atlantis v. Zumbudio/Scorpio Jr./some one. Highlights include Sasuke using a tope con hilo all the way in to the crowd where he landed on his feet, a perfect in ring Asai Moonsault, and a German Suplex Bridge on Zumbudio. The match was good. I can't wait till next week's CMLL. Ultimo Guerrero v. Sasuke will rule. Plus I get my first look at Virus. Till next time, Arriba Los Rudos!
