The Leading Edge
Forum is a company-wide initiative that provides a CSC point of view on
the technology marketplace and contributes to the alignment of business
and technology strategy. As "the technology voice of CSC," the Leading
Edge Forum serves as the focal point for stimulating technology thought
leadership, innovation and collaboration among CSC, our clients and our
alliance partners. Its goal: to strengthen CSC's position in the market
as a technology leader.
The Leading Edge
Forum's objectives:
- Demonstrate to
clients and the marketplace that CSC has a position on current technology
and an eye on emerging technologies.
- Provide strategic
input to CSC business planning, marketing, and client development.
- Build client loyalty
through "super-pleasing activities" such as client forums and client-focused
innovation projects.
- Provide a focal
point for coordinating information about CSC's alliance partners globally,
ensuring continuity between CSC groups and closer ties to partners'
labs, expertise and training.
- Advise human resource
development (HRD) on the content of its technology curricula.
- Attract and retain
skilled technologists by offering opportunities for learning and innovation
that go beyond the typical client project setting.
- Recognize and
reward significant technical accomplishments of employees through a
formal recognition program.
- Enhance CSC's
reputation as a preeminent information services organization by facilitating
liaisons with academic and professional organizations
