The European Court of Human Rights today ruled that the British Government had violated Article 2 of the European Convention which upholds the right to life and the right to a proper investigation. ..

Licensed to Kill - Inside the Force Research Unit .
Transcript of the television documentary Insight which examines disturbing new evidence about the true nature of the British government's secret war in the 1980s. The program reveals a secret report alleging that agents of the state have been involved directly or indirectly in the murder of its own citizens. Insight outlines the serious questions this raises about the integrity of the criminal justice system with army units deciding for themselves to act as judge, jury and executioner. ..

Human rights are not goods to be bartered
THERE is considerable and growing concern that matters relating to outstanding human rights abuses may increasingly become issues to be bartered with within the peace process and continuing negotiations. Human rights are inalienable rights, separate and not conditional to any negotiated political process. They are stand-alone issues. ..

RFJ Satement to Belgian Federal Senate
When emerging out of a conflict that has witnessed horrific abuse we should be promoting, protecting and implementing safeguards to prevent further abuses. A taxi driver was a favourite target for all of the above. That was the day-to-day reality of working on the road in a black taxi - it went with the territory. ..

I haven't killed anyone - Whistleblower's statement to Andersonstown News
A British Army whistleblower who worked for the shadowy organisation involved in the murder of Pat Finucane has told the Andersonstown News that he's not a murderer or a traitor. Writing exclusively for us today, Martin Ingram (not his real name) says he had never been involved in either murder or conspiracy to murder. Outlining his reasons for today's article, Mr Ingram said that he wanted it to be read by republicans and he wanted them to know that to brand whistleblowers as murderers would be effectively to deter others involved in intelligence work for the British Army from coming forward. ..

Worry by Tory over taxpayers' cash, how are you!
EVER HEARD tell of the Conservative MP, Gerald Howarth? The aforementioned member of the British House of Commons has shown a keen interest in the Bloody Sunday Tribunal. To be exact, he has shown a keen interest in the costs of the inquiry. In reply to a parliamentary question, the honourable gentleman was informed that the inquiry had cost over £33m up until December 31, 2000. Hmm, tut tut. ..
