it requires a staff that does nothing but think about Quake
24 hours a day. So who are these people who have dedicated
their lives to your enjoyment of id's greatest game?
Caryn "Hellchick" Law - Action Genre Producer for GameSpy
Twenty-seven
years ago, a girl was born in the remotest regions of Tibet,
born under an auspicious sign that foretold great things for
her. Hellchick was not this child. She did do well enough in her stint at PlanetQuake to be hoisted to her lofty position as GameSpy's Action Genre Producer where she is overlord to all the action planets and writer for GameSpy.Com and 3D ActionPlanet. She remains on the PQ Staff List due to her undying love for all things Quake, and we still owe her money from a Super Bowl bet.
Pappy-R - Site Director/Hosting Manager/News Pimp
After toiling away happily as the PlanetQuake news guy for a while, Pappy-R took the helm of the site when Hellchick moved on to the action genre producer gig. He's the one that gets to tell everyone else what to do, and make up names for PQ like "The Big Fuzzy". Just call him...Don Pappy-R. He still gets to bring those cool new sites on board in his Hosting duties as well, so make those pages pretty and call him up.
Travis "Ash" Bradshaw - Content Manager/News Jockey
Ash is the PQ Content Manager, meaning he posts all the tossed in regular and irregular features after HTML-ing them so nicely. He has been heard around town screaming at Pappy for handing in large articles at any hour of the day or night. Ash can also been seen in the PQ news helping to keep the joint kickin'.
Chris "Love2Play" Henderson - Tech Writer
Chris
writes the TechTips and TechMailbag column for PQ and faithfully
tries to keep our readers from blowing up their computers
by over-overclocking them. She's a Quake mom who started training
her wee lass of a daughter on Duke Nukem way back when. No
machine is fast enough or good enough for this blonde gaming
gal. She says she can't help wondering if Pikachu would explode
red or yellow at the end of a railgun, and she's still trying
to make a nekkid Q2 model of the male/grunt that suits us
ladies of Quake 2 to look at. If we could only be so...er,
lucky.
Cobby - Forums Diva
Cobby
is the Chief Baby Sitter, ummm...I mean, Moderator of all
the GSI forums, but she considers PlanetQuake to be her home!
This 45 year-old gameaholic (addicted since Pong, circa 1971)
also moderates some of the GameSpy mailing lists and does
QA for our network. She courageously watches over our IRC
chats and has the unenviable task of keeping all the kiddies/llamas
in line. Married, with only 4-legged children (4 cats), she
is our Midwest Regional HQ. Cobby hopes to get that "bionic
arm" implant so she can game as much as she would like to.

Will Lowman - News Jockey
Will is the new guy on the block around here, and even the guys at CompUSA remind him of this when he drops by for a new game. Will is a newsie with attitude, and a good nose for scoops. He can also be found at Fragomatic, a PQ hosted site, putting out some very popular tools and applications. If you see Will on the servers, ask him about his love for Rune.
