Welcome to my B9 Robot Page!

In 1965 when the Robinson's blasted onto network TV I had just entered the third grade, Will Robinson was my hero, and LOST IN SPACE was my favorite television program!! I remember that I asked my mother for a velour shirt with a zipper in the front. When I wore that I felt like I was a member of the Robinson Family for sure.....all I needed was a laser pistol and a ROBOT. My King Zor dart gun was about the best I could scrounge up for the laser pistol. The ROBOT of course lived in my imagination.

But now --- I am building my own full size replica of the ROBOT from LOST IN SPACE. For years I had seen the book "You can build the Lost in Space Robot" by Flint Mitchell advertised - but I always thought that it would mean building our mechanized hero from practically scratch. I'm not that good with wood and casting resin and fiberglass so I passed on this. But then I heard about the B9 Builder's club when someone mailed me a link to the web site. WOW!

The ready-made parts that I thought did not exist were available through various club members. So, this was a no-brainer for me as I started down this path. Building the ROBOT requires some creativity for sure as this is a major project with no real instructions to follow. Many thanks to all of the club members that have helped me out and made my building experience fun.

Following are some pictures of my B9 Robot Project and some of the CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES that I have been using.
