The purpose of this site is to distribute the free MPX100 Patch Selector Software.
This site does not provide technical support for your MPX100. I don't work for Lexicon. If you need tech support for your MPX100, see the Getting Tech Support section below.
If you're here, it's assumed that you already have an MPX100. If you're considering purchasing an MPX100 and you're curious about its features, hop on out to the MPX100 page at the Lexicon site for more info. You may also want to take a look at the reviews out at Harmony Central.
Before you try anything else, you may want to take a look at the MPX100 FAQ out at the Lexicon Web Site. There's a pretty good chance that your question will be answered there.
If the FAQ doesn't answer your question and/or you need tech support, why not give Lexicon a call? That's what they get paid for.
This page assumes that you've got some expertise in using MIDI with your computer. If you're a flat-footed newbie :-) who needs some basics on MIDI, click here to jump over to the Very Simple site (that's its actual name). They have general information on hooking MIDI devices to your computer and what cables you'll need, etc. When you're done there, you can come back here and get the free software for your MPX100.
The Very Simple site is by no means the only one. There's a wealth of information on the net on getting your soundcard's MIDI port set up correctly and resolving conflicts. Use your favorite search engine or go out to your computer or soundcard manufacturer's web site.
Now that all that's out of the way, let's get to the software! :-)
The MPX100 Patch Selector Software is free for the taking. The software will allow you to select Patches and Variations on your MPX100 from your computer. You'll be able to make notes on each Variation. You'll also be able to transmit MIDI controller messages from your computer to your MPX100. Finally, the software will assist you in setting the MIDI controllers that the MPX100 will respond to.
The system requirements are a Windows-based PC with some sort of MIDI port. It's a 16-bit program designed on a 32-bit Windows 95 system. Since the program is 16-bit, it should work on a Windows 3.1 system without any problems.
Mac Version? Since I don't own a Mac, there is no Mac version of this software.
