In British Columbia, the Attorney General is the chief law officer
for the province and the official legal advisor to the Lieutenant
Governor and members of Cabinet.
The Ministry
of Attorney General is responsible for the administration and delivery
of justice services throughout British Columbia. The Ministry's
programs can be broadly grouped into four areas: criminal, civil/family,
administrative and regulatory.
In addition,
the Ministry is responsible for human rights and a number of independent
agencies, boards and commissions.

Pilot Project Will Help Tenants Get Security Deposits Back
VICTORIA A one-year pilot project in Vancouver will look
at the problem of security deposits not being returned to tenants.
Tim Stevenson, minister of employment and investment, and Jenny
Kwan, minister of community development, cooperatives and volunteers,
made the announcement today on behalf of Attorney General Graeme
