KANSAS CITY, Missouri (Oct 16, 1995 - 15:12 EDT) -- Nebraska quarterback Tommie Frazier was named the Big Eight Conference Offensive Player of the Week, while Kansas linebacker Jason Thoren is the conference's Defensive Player of the Week.

Frazier, a senior, ran for three touchdowns and passed for two more in the Huskers' 57-0 win over Missouri. Frazier rushed eight times for 71 yards and completed 7-of-14 pass attempts for 133 yards.

Thoren, a sophomore, had nine tackles and an interception in the Jayhawks' 34-7 victory over Iowa State. Thoren had five solo tackles and his interception was his third of the season, which is the most for a Kansas linebacker since Steve Towle picked off three in 1972.
