Late Pick Motivation for Polk
Carlos Polk will be packing an attitude when he heads off to San Diego to begin his career in the National Football League. The Chargers selected the former Nebraska linebacker in Sunday's fourth round, making him the 112th overall pick in the draft. The way Polk sees it, the selection came at least 17 picks too late.

Josh Brown is a kicker, Randy Stella is in limbo, and Steve Kriewald is in line to see considerable action for Nebraska's football team next fall. Those are among the more notable developments to come out of the Huskers' spring practice, based on the post-spring depth chart. Overall, there were few surprises in the three-deep listing of players at each position.

Nebraska's receiving corps regains a little experience. Wingback John Gibson, who has battled injuries throughout his college career, was granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA.
