Announcements
Ultimate Duke List -; 07/07 Recently I had to lock Nekromancer up in a dark, damp cell with a laptop in the corner and beat him on a regular basis, the punishments continued until he finally came out with what has become the "Ultimate Duke List."
Surprisingly enough it is a very long list of every decent Duke Nukem site there is with a short review alongside each site to inform the visitor of it's content and whether or not it's worth a visit. Quite simply, if you want to find some information on the Duke Nukem series or forgot the address of that half-decent site, chances are you'll be able to find it at the "Ultimate Duke List."
If you want your site to be considered for the list, give Nekro an email sometime and he'll analyse your site from within the compunds of his cell.

Duke Nukem 4 Ever Goes Macintosh
Inside Mac Games reports that Mac Soft will be the publishers of DNF for the Mac. This is good news for Duke fans who own Macs. Mac Soft will also be the publishers for other games like Beachhead 2002, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Max Payne, Stronghold, Myth III, Sid Meier’s Civilization III, and Master of Orion III.
Leading the lineup is the much-anticipated sequel to Duke Nukem™ 3D, Duke Nukem Forever. Developed by 3D Realms, and published by Take-Two Interactive (Nasdaq: TTWO), Duke Nukem Forever features the latest technological advancements in the industry. Using the enhanced version of Epic Games’ Unreal™ engine, Duke Nukem Forever is part four in a series of games featuring Duke Nukem as the hero. Its predecessor, Duke Nukem 3D, became one of the top selling games of all time. Duke Nukem Forever features a former nemesis, Dr. Proton, who’s mission is to dominate the world. It’s up to Duke Nukem to foil Dr. Proton’s master plan with an arsenal of weapons and quick-wit.
Mac's are now actually going to have some games worth playing! You can read the full press release at MacSoft.

Duke Preview
Fellow MGON site Nintendo Center have put up a preview of Duke Nukem Forever, although as you'd expect it is written concerning the GameCube release. Here's an example of what cut 'n paste can do:
Why is Duke Nukem such a cash-in? Well for one thing bare-breasted women are a staple of the series... not to mention the of-the-wall one liners he's famous for. Some classic Duke sayings include "Your face, your ass, what's the difference?" and "I like kicking ass and chewing bubble gum...and I'm all out of gum." But somehow that adds so much to the gaming experience. Duke Nukem is a shooter in the classic sense, there's very few people you aren't supposed to shoot. None of this "don't shoot me I'm a scientist" crap that we've seen in recent first-person shooters, if I want to shoot somebody, I can and I'll enjoy it to.
Check out the preview here and look forward to the GameCube while you're there.

Site Improvements
I'm sure that many of you have noticed some changes around Duke Nukem Center recently. As well as the "Ultimate Duke List" and the IRC chat channel opening up we have a host of new features.
If you look to the left of the screen on the navigation bar you can see that the site has been divided up into more clear categories and alot of new content has been added including the new 'Console Games' section. There is now also a lot more information on Duke Nukem 3D including a Monsters, Weapons and Strategy section.
I'll continue to add and update sections through the week.
