History Will Not Forget
by Kevin B. O'Reilly

The vote has been cast and your presidency saved.
But when we reflect on the past and on the way you behaved,
You'll find much less to savor and so much to regret,
Because unlike the polls history will not forget.

Yes, history will tell of the Waco children you burned
And of how your campaign funds were so shamelessly earned
Of the people you bombed just to save your own hide
Of the politics of power by which we saw you abide
Of the rights that you stole and of the people you chained
Of the lies that you told and of the dress that you stained
And of the justice you obstructed with that eager brunette
Yes, these are the things history will not forget

So while your numbers look good now and the people ignore you
Soon your time will be done and they'll just as quickly abhore you
Yeah, turn off the music and drop those drums you're a-bangin'
Spit out that cigar where from your mouth it's a-hangin'
'Cause when your lying is done and with the grim reaper you've met
You'll know then for sure that history does not forget

Though your day in office is not done yet
And by your bad laws we are still beset
There's no reason to worry and no reason to fret
For on one little thing I am willing to bet:
And that is that history will not forget
