- Deathmatch 101 Whether
you're new to Internet gaming or an old hand ready to sharpen
your skills, this is the place to start! Advice on everything
from strategy to using GameSpy. It even has a CTF section.
- Fragistics This is an
Open Source program that will parse through the games.log
file generated by Quake III Arena and create webpages filled
with stats on the games and players who played on that server.
There are 4 categories of stats produced: Player stats,
Games stats, Map stats, and Overall stats.

is a fantastic OpenGL site, with information, screenshots,
drivers, FAQs, and performance tips to help you get the
most out of your 3D card. A must visit for all GLQuake and
Quake II users. Zanshin's remodeling at the moment, but

Utilities
Administration Utilities
- Automation
This is a utility to help organize your mods and make it
easy to set them up and run them. It uses profiles to allow
you to set up a game the way you want it, and then save
the data, ready for quick launch the next time you want
it. It allows control over many features of Quake such as
game limits and DM flags. You can organize your profiles
and mods, with saved descriptions, to make it easier to
remember what is what.
- AutoQuake 2000 You can easily start mods which are based on Id Softwares Quake engine. This program is big help for those of you who haven't updated
Half-Life, Quake1 or Quake2 and want play Single Player mods like They Hunger and Darkstar or even some old Quake 1 mod. So this is a
damn good program for ANYONE who wants to launch a mod easily.
- Borderfield Here you
can find various tools and utilities for Quake2 and Quake:3
Arena. All of their software is free so there's no excuse
not to give their schtuff a go! Also, if you have some software
you'd like to see published, they'll be happy to host it
and show it off for ya!
- BQServer BQServer is a server-side ActiveX dll that allows a Quake server to be administrated from any web browser. Install the BQServer dll onto your server running IIS, and you can send rcon commands to a Quake server via ASP pages. Because BQServer allows the developer to send and receive rcon commands, you can have as much control over Quake as the game server allows. Using the web platform also allows endless flexibility with the graphical interface.
- Clandestyne Software provides free gaming utilities to enhance your gaming
experience. Programs like QBind will help you easily create and edit your configs with a graphical Mouse/Keyboard display (for all versions of Quake). QNews will help keep you up to date on the latest happenings in the Quake community. Check'em out for more!
- Crazy Launch This utility
contains the Quake3Runner, a Multi Mod Launcher which is
able to manage and start all Mods on your PC. But that's
not all: i's also able to identify the name of the Mods
and its settings like Client- and Serversettings. You can
also add in other programs, for example PakScape. You don't
have to do anything! And, the best thing is the Quake3 Arena
Tweaker!
- E-Studio has a
handy dandy utility that allows you to more easily generate
realistic terrain with a soft look for your maps. No matter
what mapping program you use, you'll likely find this highly
useful.
- Engines of Creation Home to the Quake Toolkit for admin and player Q3A settings. You'll also get options linked to Q3radiant and compilling tools.
- Fragomatic is a one stop shopping spree for tools and utilities. Server Commander, RCON Commander, Stats Commander and the Config Creator are some of what this spot has to offer and they're becoming very popular. You'll get tons of tools and help here including variable and command lists.
- The Game Name Builder The Game
Name Builder is a program which allows you to easily create
custom names in Quake, QuakeII, and QuakeIII.
- GibStats Hate it
when your friends claim they're better at Q3A than you are
because they beat you in ONE game? Then get GibStats - this
programs tells you everything you want to know statistically
about your games! It even produces sweet graphs about things
like weapon useage and more. Definitely a must for a thorough
analysis of the game!
- idDA (Demo Stats) The id Demo
Analyzer is a tool that produces reports (frag statistics,
etc.) in text or HTML on multiplayer demos for the games
in the Quake family.
- Mod On Demand Borderfield's
utility takes the hassle out of mod configuration and makes
your life easier.
- OnTheWay Powerful and easy
to use front-end for Quake 2 servers. Customize server settings,
map selections, and more from it's powerful GUI.
- Q
Check If you're frustrated by the fact that people
don't know where you're playing when you jump into a game
and want them to follow, look no further. Q_Check is an
mIRC plug-in/script that will detect when a user joins a
game via GameSpy3D and automatically set them away AND give
the address of the server. Simple!
- Q3Offline ShellShock's
Crater is the home of a nifty little Q3 utility called Q3Offline.
Q3Offline is a Quake III Arena front end for quickly setting
up offline single player games. Visit ShellShock to get
more info on this program.
- Q3Radio Forget text communication
- radio is the way to go. Q3Radio has 38 radio messages
at your fingertips for DM, Teamplay, and CTF.
- Q3Setup This is an alternative
front-end to Q3A. It allows you to set up off-line games
of any series of maps with any combination of bots, as well
as changing game type between maps for variety much more
easily than if using the Q3A interface, or writing your
own config files by hand.
- Quake Start One of the original Quake game utilities and still advancing with the NEXGen series. This one starts all the Quake games and more while also handling player configs and so much more.
- QWAdmin Make setting up
your QuakeWorld server a snap, even with no admin experience!
- Turkey Manor Turkey Manor
Design works to produce applications which make using Quake
3 easier, or more fun. Current products include The Quake
3 Easy Name Creator, The Arena Master (which makes .arena
files for mappers), and the Turkey Jerky Text Changer mod,
which enables you to change the text messages that appear
in the game.
- UI Enhanced This mod-like utility
replaces the Q3A user interface with one designed to make
setting up single player and LAN games much more easily.
- Who's the Winner WTW
is a Quake III Arena log analyzer. It processes Q3A logs
and returns info like stats and scoring definitions for
all games played, and puts it conveniently in HTML.
Level Editing Utilities
- bobToolz
bobToolz is a plug-in for Q3Radiant that will help mappers
find those offending intersecting brushes. It does a lot
of other useful things and is always changing, so check
it out.
- QuArK
(The Quake Army Knife) As the name would imply,
QuArK bundles several useful Quake, Quake II, and Hexen
II editing tools into one package. You can use it to edit
maps, Quake C, models, BSPs, and more -- a must have in
any editor's toolbox.
- Tread
No relation to the beloved THRED, Tread is a new level editor
on the scene that seamlessly works with Quake, Q2, Hexen2,
Half-Life, and Kingpin.
Miscellaneous
- Multi-Head
Gaming You know that cool trick where people get
more than one monitor to display different parts of a screen?
That's called multi-head gaming. Check out this site to
