Look at the MAP of the railways in New Brunswick!

There are six railways currently operating in the province of New Brunswick, Canada:

Canadian National (CN) VIA Rail
The NB Southern Railway The New Brunswick East Coast Railway
S&H Van Buren
The Salem & Hillsborough Railway The Van Buren Bridge & Construction Company

Of those, the last four are short lines created from old CN or CP trackage and facilities.

The New Brunswick Recreational Rail Riders operate speeders over a section of former CP Rail trackage. See them here.

Other railroads that used to operate in New Brunswick are:
  • Dominion Atlantic Railway (a subsidiary of CP)

You can read (in the Railways of Canada Archives) a list of railways formed in New Brunswick.
