In my opinion, the Word-Faith movement is far more dangerous than any of the cults because they have infiltrated the church and leave the distinct impression with the secular world that their brand of "Christianity" truly represents Christianity. In truth, it represents the worst teachings ever to go under the name "Christian." It is unfortunate that Christian leaders are so afraid of Paul Crouch that they won't stand up to him, but continue to broadcast their programs on TBN or commend TBN's work. If you are a TBN supporter who thinks people like myself are causing division, read what these people say carefully, then ask yourself, "What would a non-Christian think if TBN was his first introduction to Christianity and he heard this stuff?" and "Are these the types of teachings the early Christians were willing to die for?" The Trinity Broadcasting Network cares little for doctrine. It matters not to them whether a preacher teaches there are three in the Godhead, nine in the Godhead, or if they deny the Trinity altogether, as in the case of T. D. Jakes. On October 29th, 1999, on a CNN Chat session, Matt Crouch told me that doctrine was not important. Below are the results of such thinking. Updated April 16, 2000.
