Duke Nukem: Zero Hour - Weapons

Duke's arsenal in Zero Hour is pretty impressive - weapons may also have powerups to modify them, too. Here's a look at the weapons he'll have at his disposal:

The Blaster
The Blaster (or M40) is a pulse gun - it fires small blasts of energy. Pick up another and you can have guns akimbo!

Claw 12 Shotgun
A pump-action 12-gauge shotgun, the Claw has a lot of punch only at close quarters. The powerup available is the atuo-loader which means Duke won't need to pump it to reload, and thus increaes the rate of fire. Nifty!

Twin SMGs
Two submachineguns, which allow Duke to spray out bullets pretty damn quickly! No powerups are available.

Grenade Launcher
The AGL-9 grenade launcher does exactly what it says on the tin - it launches grenades! You can bang 'em out around corners if you're good enough, too, as these little things ricochet off walls. You can even power it up with gas grenades to asphyxiate the beasties in the game.

Pipebomb
Yeah, they're back from Duke 3D! Throw one and then detonate it at will - simple.

Freezer
This alien weapon can freeze organic objects - in other words, Duke's enemies! Walk up to 'em once frozen to shatter them - or pick up the super freeze crystals to freeze a bad guy so bad he'll shatter as soon as he's iced!

Scatter Laser
Another alien gun, it zaps out nasty gamma rays quickly and powerfully. It won't last forever though, so enjoy it while you can.

Havoc
Oh my - come to daddy! It smacks out four little by deadly missiles which will look for an enemy to smack down. The heat-seeking powerup makes it even more deadly!

Tripmine Bomb
These wall-mounted bombs have a laser that once triggered make it blow up. For added goodness, pick up the super version - it has two lasers, so avoidance is not an option for the enemy!

Pulse Cannon

This sucker uses the same ammo as the Blaster, but it's ten times as deadly - it can roast enemies well with its pulses.

The following weapons are period-specific in the game; they can only be used when Duke is in a certain epoch. (No pics, sorry)

Revolver
This mean .45 handgun makes sure Duke can dish out the damage Western style. Since it's a sixshooter, it needs reloading every 6 shots - makes sense, huh? If you get your hands on the "scumstopped" powerups, you'll be pleased to learn they're much more powerful than the standard bullets.

Sawn-Off Shotgun
This sucker's got two barrels, and up close, boy do they dish out the hurt.

.30-.30 Rifle
A powerful rifle, it's useful at long range, and has a pretty good rate of fire, too, meaning its stopping power is a force to be reckoned with.

Gatling Gun
Oh yeah, waste those Pig Cops gangsta-style! Pepper the enemy with lead, thanks to its high rate of fire!

Volt Cannon
Some wacky Victorian scientists made this glorified cattle prod to fend off nasties prowling London's foggy streets, and what a job they did, too. Sizzle the enemy with powerful bolts of lightning!

Dynamite
A stick of pure chaos, dynamite is lit then hurled at the enemy - anbd what a mess it makes.

Bomb
Another fun explosive for Duke to toy with. Light the fuse and throw it at something, then stand back.
