2. MAILING INSTRUCTIONS

3. GENERAL REGULATIONS
Agency Commissions
15% allowed to recognized agencies provided account's paid within 30 days of invoice date. Commission not allowed on mechanical functions performed by publication, including typesetting, inserting of supplied inserts, etc. Color charges are commissionable.

Payments
Advertising charges are to be pre-paid. Discounts Long-term discounts granted only on submitted schedules.

Short Rates/Rebates
Advertisers will be short-rated if, within a twelve-month period from the date of the first insertion, they do not use the number of insertions or amount of space upon which billings were based. Advertisers will be rebated if, within a twelve-month period from the date of the first insertion, they use sufficient additional insertions and/or space to warrant a lower rate than that at which they were billed.

Rate Protection
Contracts may be cancelled at the time a change in rates becomes effective without incurring a short-rate adjustment on space already run-- provided the contract rate has been earned up to the date of cancellation.

4. ISSUE AND CLOSING DATES
Published weekly: dated Friday: issued Thursday.
Final space reservations: Monday 5:00 p.m.
Pub-set copy, camera ready art or film negative: Monday 5:00 p.m.
Combo art requiring prep and shooting: Monday 1:00 p.m.

Requirements for advertising supplied in digital form:

* Composition of ad should be done using QuarkXpress 3.32 (not 4), Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop software. NO other format/software will be accepted.
* Must include all post script screen and printer fonts.
* Must include ALL artwork. Artwork must be saved as a tiff or eps file.
* It is preferable that artwork and ads be supplied to us electronically on a, Macintosh formatted, 3.5" Floppy disc or Zip disc.

Publisher's Protective Clauses
a. In the event of non-payment, publisher shall have the right to hold advertiser and/or its advertising agency jointly and severally liable for such monies as are due and payable to publisher. Rendering a bill to the advertiser's advertising agency shall not relieve the advertiser in the event of non-payment by the agency. Payment by advertiser to its advertising agency will not constitute payment unless payment is actually received by publisher.

b. Advertiser and its advertising agency shall be responsible, jointly and severally, for all content of advertisements (including text, illustrations, trademarks and any other matter) and shall defend, indemnify and hold publisher harmless from and against any loss, expense or other liability, including publisher's actual attorney's fee, resulting from any claims or suits for libel, violation of rights and privacy, plagiarism, copyright infringement and any other claims or suits that may arise out of the publication of such advertisements.

c. All space contracted must be used within one year after publisher's receipt of insertion order or contract.

d. All advertising is subject to publisher's approval. Publisher reserves the right to reject advertising for any reason, including advertising which publisher deems inappropriate or incompatible with the publication's standards.

e. Publisher is not liable if, for any reason, it becomes necessary to omit an advertisement.

f. Any errors in an advertisement should be reported to the publisher upon publication. Publisher's liability is limited to first insertion in which errors occur that are the direct result of the publication's printing, mechanicals or typesetting. Publisher's liability for any error will not exceed the charge for the advertisement in question.

g. Publisher reserves the right to place the word "advertisement" with copy which, in the publisher's opinion, resembles editorial matter.

h. No conditions (printed or otherwise) appearing on space orders, billing instructions or copy instructions, which conflict with the publisher's stated policies, will be binding on the publisher.

i. Publisher is not liable for failure to perform or delay in performance caused by strikes, accidents, fires, acts of nature, or other contingents beyond the publisher's control.
