EMLL
Dr Wagner Jr/Shocker/Satanico vs. Atlantis/Mr
Niebla/Tony Rivera
Primera Caida- The first fall starts cleanly, with Satanico and Rivera
working off of a waistlock. Next, Shocker and Mr. Niebla enter the ring,
and trade joint locks, and takedowns. Wagner and Atlantis have a go at it
next, doing that cool spot where the rudo holds the tecnico down by his wrists,
and then the tecnico kips up and monkey flips him. Atlantis gets in an armlock
tight and Wagner tries everything he can to break it, finally getting Atlantis
off him with a big clothesline and dropkick to the back of the head. The
rudos now start to double team the tecnicos, beating them all badly.
Wagner gives Rivera a NASTY powerbomb, but Shocker breaks up the count to
hit one of his own and do a flying senton for the pin. Satanico makes Niebla
submit to an abdominal stretch.
Segunda Caida- The ref hasn't gotten control of the match yet, so
the beatdown continues, with Wagner focusing on and only on Atlantis. The
tecnicos turn the tables with Shocker inadvertenly clotheslines Satanico.
As he turns around, he walks into a double leg slam and then into the Neblina,
while Atlantis quickly makes Wagner submit to the Atlantida.
Tercera Caida- Atlantis gets Wagner in the ring and gives him
a spinebuster, then Rivera and Satanico enter and Rivera hits a quebradora.
Shocker tags in, hits the lariat/bulldog/casita combo, but only gets a two
count. He lifts Niebla in a suplex, but it is reversed with a small package.
A powerbomb attempt is then reversed with a rana, still only getting two
for Niebla. Atlantis comes in next, slams Wagner and rips open the
mask, then does a plancha and reverse cradle for a two count. Victory roll
is reversed by Wagner for another nearfall. They both go outside. Niebla
dropkicks Satanico out to the floor, then gives Rivera a boost, so that he
can barely hit a pescado(What's wrong with Tony??!?!?)onto him. Shocker enters
and evades the handspring reverse tope, then kicks Niebla out through the
ropes and does a great tope driving him back into the seats. It is now time
for the pique between Wagner and Atlantis. Wagner gets a kneecap
dropkick, but Atlantis manages to flip out of the Wagner Driver. Atlantis
then tries to scoop him up for the Atlantida as he turns around, but Wagner
flips out of that, so Atlantis picks him up.... TOMBSTONE!!!!! No, the ref
makes him drop the hold, Atlantis starts arguing with the ref, and gets low
blowed by the evil doctor... 1 ... 2... 3!!! [full point] A very good match.
They built this Wagner/Atlantis feud out of nowhere, and have already established
hate between the two with Atlantis teasing the piledriver. The match had
no editing, so we actually got to see that first fall matwork, plus the rest
of the stuff was very well worked.
Momentos Estelares
Painful- Fugaz with a senton right on Filoso's chest.
Innovation- One of the Stone brothers with a legdrop to the nads.
Senton- Fierito with a top rooe one.
Sensational- Cicloncito with a corner tope, while Dragoncito does a corner
sommersault plancha.
Rudo- Black Warrior guillotines Olimpico off the ramp.
Skit- Infernales have lunch with Tarzan Boy at Super Astro's resturant
and invite him to the group. Guerrero refers to him as "manzana de
la discordia" which means what I do not know.
Rey Bucanero, Ultimo Guerrero, Tarzan Boy vs. Negro Casas, Emilio
Charles, Super Porky-
Primera Caida- Tecnicos actually get the jump on the rudos here,
and score a pinfall within seconds on Guerrero and Tarzan Boy.
Segunda Caida- Porky sends all three Infernales sitting in one corner
then does a huge Bronco Buster, which must have sucked big time. Casas then
takes on all three rudos by himself, offering the awesome, amazingly talented
Infernales a series of kicks, kicks, and kicks. Maybe Casas should do a ninja
gimmick? At least Ultimo got to take a sweet post bump. They eventually have
enough of this and gang up on Negro, doing double flying headbutts and then
a double jacknife cradle in which Tarzan Boy stands on top of and poses for
the pin.
Tercera Caida- More of the same.... holy shit Ultimo just fireman's
carry slammed Super Porky. Wow. The Infernales do the greatest dance and
pose ever and I mark out big time. Then Porky knocks Tarzan and Bucanero
out of the ring and does a tope! Casas starts to hit a pique with Guerrero,
but Emilio Charles elbows him in the face from the apron and Guerrero covers
to get the pinfall. [full point] Just for the triple pin and dance alone.
Actually, this was a fun match and it accomplished what it had to, even if
the Infernales had nothing to work with.
AAA
(all matches from Madero Guerra de Titanes show)
Hong Kong Lee, Dos Caras Jr, Octagon,
La Parka Jr vs. Texano, Pirata Morgan, Espectro Jr., Cobarde-
Primera Caida-
A complete squash for the Consangrados. Cobarde pins Octagon with something
vaguely resembling a splash, and Pirata makes Hong Kong submit to a bow and
arrow hold.
Segunda Caida- More of the same until Caras Jr throws Cobarde off the
top rope and does headscissors to him. Octagon does some comedy spots, Hong
Kong some armdrags which then triggers a quadruple sunset flip spot from
the tecnicos. They get the rudos in the "star" hold, which is where the tecnicos
wish bone the rudos in a star-shape, and then Parka Jr. puts Espectro in
la tapitia to make him submit.
Tercera Caida- Parka begins the match with this great comedy
spot. He has Pirata sitting in the corner facing his ass, and Cobarde comes
over and starts boxing Parka, so that when Parka gets hit he throws his butt
in Pirata's face. Then he does a bunny hop and pretends to treat Pirata like
a fire hydrant. At this point the rudos begin to target Caras Jr. exlusively,
until Parka and Hong Kong knock Cobarde and and Espectro out of the
ring and dive onto them. Octagon holds Texano off, so that Caras can
do a plancha, but he and Morgan do a double clothesline bump, prompting Caras
Sr. to run down and put Caras Jr. on top for the win. [.50] This was a pretty
fun match even if that finish made no sense. Why does Caras Jr. need his
father's help to pin Pirata? At least it wasn't a ref-finish.
<repeat of Vatos Locos vs. Oriental/Hong Kong Lee/Oscar Sevilla/Bobby
Lee Jr.>
Dos Caras, Canek, Mascara Segrada vs. Headhunters 1 & 2, Jerry Estrada
Primera Caida- Clean, but boring stuff. Caras gets a sunset flip
on one of the Headhunters then gets an assist from Canek to pin him. Segrada
pins Estrada with a reverse cradle.
Segunda Caida- Canek and Caras put a Headhunter and Estrada in abdominal
stretches, while another Headhunter brawls near th back of the arena with
Segrada. Segrada then takes a nice little walk all the way to the top of
a balcony, where he proceeds to do a 20 foot sommersault dive to that Headhunter!
Whooooohoo! Canek pins Estrada with a press slam. [.25] For that insane dive
alone.
Now they air one of the greatest skits ever. Charly Manson and Kuervo
beat the crap out of Silver Cat near some park. The thing is, this park is
right over a high-speed traffic area, so when they brawl into the street,
Cat and Kuervo come _this_ close to getting run over by a red buggy. Then
then put two stilts together like a cross and yell the name of their new
stable "BLACK FAMILY".
Hector Garza and Latin Lover vs. Heavy Metal and Hijo del Perro(War
Games cage match)-
Well this is a cage match, but there is a top on it, I would guess to keep
evil refs and Vipers from intefering. There are also a variety of items inside
to play with, like chairs, garbage cans, chains and what have you.
Garza gets handcuffed to the cage early in and stays that way till the end.
Latin Lover gets injured somehow and has to be stretchered out. Heavy
Metal isn't done with him though, as he attacks the medics and sets up a
table, then puts Latin Lover on it. He climbs onto the post, and does
a senton, but Lover rolls off and Metal takes a nasty spill. They have
to cart the bleeding Metal off too. So it's down to Garza and Perrito.
Lover fights his way back to the ring and gives Garza the keys to his
cuffs, so that he can get free. Perrito cuts him short though, and hand cuffs
him again to the cage. Now Perrito had been stomping a trash can onto Garza's
knee beforehand, but forgot to take it off. So when he charges Garza in the
corner, he runs into the big metal boot, and gets KOed, giving Garza the
win. [full point] Eh, it worked for me. They built a nice little story instead
of having a plain lucha garbage match and most of it made sense. Plus this
is like the first clean win in these matches so I'm extremely happy about
that.
Overall: EMLL's only had two matches, so the Galanazis had nothing to
edit out. The result is longer, better matches where you can actually understand
what is going on. Plus both matches were at least good so props to EMLL today.
AAA wasn't too bad. They didn't have their best workers out either, but the
guys looked to be trying and the main event was fun stuff so I guess we can
call this the second AAA show in a row that didn't suck.
