There really is no such thing as the best band. In certain categories you could pick some that stand out. Some bands that strike me as good are The Eagles, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Blink 182, Linkin Park, Nirvana, Black Sabbath, Weezer, and Lynard Skynard.
Different people would pick different bands, naturally. |

about trunner and mr. turkey's little flea argument, i think flea is probably the best bassist in a well known band but there must be many more people who are better than flea that noone's ever heard of... unfourtanitly (i cant spell) success and fame as a musician is largly bassed on luck and not skill... just look at blink 182

| heh heh... where i live (philly) the best station is Y-100 and they do this thing called a sonic session where they get fameous bands to come in and play and stuff... anyway Russel Crowe has a band and they're getting his band on... has anyone ever head him? is it good or bad?

Ok i dont know what you guys are talking about but all time best Band has to Be METALLICA!!!! there just to good. No band can do what metallica has done. I really liked them before cliff burton died but there great now.

| Allright Mr. Turkey, you name one living bassist out there that could blow flea away. Flea has to be the best living bassist today, no doubt about it. And sure there are a lot more talented guitarists and drummers besides Metallica, but that doesn't mean they suck.

| no such thing as best band , by the way matalica is no wear near the top 10 , i could name 1000 guitarst and drumers that would blow matalica and there sapy songs right out of the water, also fle is not even close to the best bass player, u guys need to stop watching MTv there is alot of mindblowing artist out there and there not on your TV screen.

Hypocrisy, Nile, Deicide, Morbid Angel, Hendrix and Black
Sabbath. Pretty much anything that's heavy I like.

I like punk rock bands like Green Day, Blink 182...
Rock bands like Bon Jovi, Aerosmith....
Linkin Park, Metallica, Papa Roach, Limp Bizkit, 3 Doors Down....

| Wihtout doubt, the best band, from a guitarist's perspective must be Queen. Brian May, the guitarist's guitarist. Designed and BUILT his own guitar in his teens, which Guild then copied. Plus, just try to play some of his stuff. My God, they should have delivered a set of hands when I got my BHM-1.
