U.S. Corporates Pledge Near $50 Million Attack Relief
U.S. corporations on Thursday pledged near $50 million to relief efforts in the wake of Tuesday's terror attacks, which authorities fear claimed thousands of lives in New York and the Pentagon. Much of the funding, including $10 million from automaker DaimlerChrysler AG , was intended for the surviving children of victims of the attacks, the companies involved said.
