MATERIALS REQUIRED:
• Nantuk Sweater & Afghan Yarn (2 oz. pull skein)
       5 skeins color A
       2 skeins color B
• Boye Crochet Hook Size H

__With Color A
-ch 143 for one half.

__Row 1: 1 dc in 7th ch from hook, ch 1, 1 dc back in 5th ch from hook for a cross st, * skip 2 ch, 1 dc in next ch, ch 1, 1 dc in first of the skipped ch, repeat from * across, end 1 dc in last ch, ch 4, turn.

__Row 2: Counting turning-ch as first dc, * skip first dc of cross st, 1 dc in 2nd dc of cross st, ch 1, 1 dc in skipped dc, repeat from * across, end 1 dc in turning ch, ch 4, turn: 46 pats across with 1 dc at each side. Repeat Row 2 for pat, working 18 more rows. Fasten off.

__Make other half the same.

__To Assemble: Sew "X" to "X" in diagram below. Join yarn at neck edge and work 1 row of sc with ch-1 between each sc around neck, holding in to fit then work 1 more row with sc and ch 1 in each sc. Join and fasten off. With Color B-work 3 sc in each space around outer edge, with 6 sc in each point. Join, ch 3 and work 1 row of cross sts with 1 cross over each group of 3 sc. Join and fasten off.

__TO MAKE FRINGE:  Cut strands as directed. Fold in half and draw fold through edge then draw ends through loop and tighten. Trim evenly when complete.

     For this poncho:  Using 6 strands 14 inches long of Color B in every other space.
