 Nikki Webster
Nikki Webster

Nikki Webster, the young performer who stole the hearts of the nation at the Opening and Closing ceremonies of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, has joined forces with Warner Bros. Movie World in 2001.

In her new role as ambassador of the theme park, Nikki’s considerable talents are being utilised to promote the theme park’s newest ride – the Road Runner Rollercoaster.

Enjoying the transition from performing at the Sydney Olympic Games ceremonies in September, to being a team member at an internationally renowned theme park and entertainment venue, Nikki said the new partnership with Warner Bros. Movie World is a dream come true.

“I am really glad to be a part of the Warner Bros. Movie World team and a great family of artists”, said Nikki. “Appearing alongside my favourite Warner Bros. characters like Bugs Bunny, Tweety and Tazzie Devil is fantastic”, she said.

Chief Executive Officer, John Menzies, said the alliance is a mutually beneficial partnership with Nikki’s talent an asset to the park.

“Having such a great young talent like Nikki join the Warner Bros. Movie World team in 2001 is a real coup for the theme park”, said Mr Menzies. “We have already received a very positive reaction to Nikki when she performed at Warner Bros. Movie World in early January and we are excited about her new role in 2001”.

 New Rollercoaster
New Rollercoaster

The greatest chase in toon history has come to life at Warner Bros. Movie World with the opening of the Road Runner Rollercoaster, Australia's first-ever junior rollercoaster.

Situated in the hugely popular Looney Tunes Village, the Road Runner Rollercoaster offers families a fast, safe and fun new experience and bridge the gap between the park's gentle children's rides and adult thrill rides.

Boarding in a sky-rocket themed coaster train at the ACME Fireworks Factory Station, guests join Wile E. Coyote as he chases the Roadrunner through the Arizona Mountains in an exciting journey of twists and turns, ups and downs.

"The Road Runner Rollercoaster is a ride the whole family can enjoy together and is a great experience for kids who aren't quite ready for the Lethal Weapon suspended looping coaster," Chief Executive John Menzies said.

"This type of ride has never before been seen in Australia, and is fast becoming a hit with people of all ages."

The ride increases the size of Looney Tunes Village by 30% and, at capacity, will carry up to 1,000 passengers an hour in two 16-seater trains.

Looney Tunes Village, which opened in December 1997 to cater for children under the age of 10, already incorporates six colourful, Looney Tunes themed rides and is extremely popular with children of all ages.
