World Trade towers destroyed,
Pentagon wrecked when planes crash

In a horrific sequence of destruction, terrorists hijacked two airliners and crashed them into the World Trade Center in a coordinated series of attacks Tuesday morning that brought down the twin 110-story towers. A plane also slammed into the Pentagon.

    Akamai CTO dies
Daniel C. Lewin -- co-founder, CTO, and board member of Cambridge-based Akamai Technologies -- died in the American Airlines Flight 11 crash in NYC today.

An American Airlines flight left Boston this morning and crashed into one of the World Trade Center towers in NY. A United Airlines flight from Boston is unaccounted for.
