THREE MURDERERS SENTENCED TO DEATH ESCAPED FROM “BUTYRKA” PRISON

From the well known Butyrskaya prison in Moscow three dangerous criminals have escaped sentenced to the death penalty.
This morning at 7:00 a.m. while checking prison cells the worker of Main Execution Office of Justice Ministry of Russia did not find the three of prisoners. Later it became clear the criminals made a hole in the cell’s bottom and escaped.
The jail-breakers – Anatoli Kulikov, born in 1967, Vladimir Zhelezoglo, born in 1962, and Boris Bezotechestvo, born in 1971, - are sentenced for many crimes including murder and robbery. In “Butyrka” they were waiting for their appeals to be considered by the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation. According to some information, yesterday one of they received refusal from the court. Probably that was the reason of the flight.
At the moment the prisoners are being searched for on the prison’s territory. Just after the escape all possible ways to leave the prison were studied. The prison’s workers concluded the prisoners had not left the territory.
“Butyrka” is a big complex with a developed infrastructure. The prisoners are supposed to go to the basement storeys to hide there. 250 policemen with dogs take part in search works. The city police is prepared for action.
Actually “Butyrka” is considered to be a prison, from where nobody can escape. Over more than 200 years of its existence only several people managed to escape from there. One of these lucky persons was Felix Dzerzinski.
