AZERI DEFENCE MINISTER ARRIVES IN RUSSIA TO DISCUSS MILITARY PARTNERSHIP

Colonel-General Safar Abiev, Azeri Defence Minister, starts a three-day routine visit to Russia on Thursday to discuss prospects for closer bilateral military partnership, reports the host country's Defence Ministry press service.
General Abiev will meet with Sergei Ivanov, his Russian counterpart, to sum up current Azeri-Russian military contacts, evaluate chances to step them up, and exchange opinions on global and regional security.
