Get audio and video news from the Interactive Journal and its publisher, Dow Jones & Co. Inc. You can do this in several ways:

  • What: Two hourly updates from The Wall Street Journal Interactive Edition that can be heard via the RealPlayer. Listen to Business Update or Markets Recap. Both one-minute programs are accessible from the left-hand side of any main Interactive Journal page.

  • What: A daily, audio edition of The Wall Street Journal that's delivered in two installments:
    The Morning Read: Available daily at 6:30 a.m. EST, hear the day's top stories in their entirety or listen only to the sections that most interest you;
    The Market Final & Analysis: Available daily at 6:00 p.m. EST, listen to a recap of the day's market activities complete with expert analysis and interpretation, as well as in-depth reporting of the day's feature stories.
  • Cost: Normally $49.95 for a 12-month subscription but FREE to Interactive Journal subscribers.
  • Technical Requirements: Windows 95, 98 or NT and Audible software (player optional).
  • How It Works: Download and listen to audio programs on your PC or on the Audible MobilePlayer, a 3.5-ounce, handheld playback peripheral, which you can order on the Audible.com site. Programs can also be downloaded and played on Palm-size PC devices including the Compaq Aero 2100, the Philips Nino500, Everex Freestyle 540 and the Cassiopeia E-15, E-100, E-105, and E-500. Audio downloaded to the Audible MobilePlayer or to the Palm-size PCs can be played back through headphones or via any stereo system, including car stereos.

  • Technical Requirements: Download the free RealPlayer for audio clips and the free Windows Media Player for video clips.

This includes company and government news conferences, CEO interviews and presentations, speeches, industry conventions and other events that affect business and the markets.
