President Bush said today that the American people's "patience and resolve" will be tested in a methodical antiterrorist campaign, but "the cause of freedom will prevail." As part of that conflict, according to a White House memo, the United States will offer aid to opponents of Afghanistan's ruling Taliban, but won't try to choose who rules the country, CNN confirmed.
