Local fish drive for New York firefighters
The community of Cordova is teaming up with Carrs/Safeway and Anchorage
firefighters, Local 1264, to host a silver salmon sale Saturday, starting
at 10 a.m. at the Muldoon, Huffman and Wasilla stores. Proceeds from
the fish sale will be added to the efforts of Fire Fighters Local
1264 to raise funds to go directly to the families of fallen New York
firefighters and EMS workers. The 31,000 pounds of frozen, whole headed
and gutted Copper River coho will be sold for $10 per fish. Any additional
donations are welcome.
