EMBLEM & MASCOT

EMBLEM
The Championships, the biggest of all the swimming contests, aim to contribute to the realization of world peace. This emblem symbolizes its aim with a motif of three circles, showing the citizens and swimming by a blue circle, swimmers and spectators by a yellow-green circle and Fukuoka and the world by a navy blue circle respectively. Those three circles will harmonize perfectly and create warm-hearted circles of swimming and the people all over the world.

Mascot
MASCOT
Associated with many legends originated in Kyushu Island, especially in Fukuoka, this mascot was created with a motif of Kappa, a traditional imaginary creature of Japan living by the waterside. This design links the images of swimming and Kappa. The mascot, full of friendly touches, will warmly welcome swimmers and officials coming from all over the world with comical expressions.
