An
Introduction
Well, it
started out as an Amiga magazine. The Amiga was a
games platform, like your NES or PlayStation, but
more like the PC of today.
You could
play games, write plays, draw pictures and create
awful games using SUECK, but Amiga Power (who
I'll refer to as AP now and again) just wrote
about the games. Not making them, mind, just how
they played.
And they
did this rather well.
Good games
got good marks, and bad games got bad ones. Now
many of you may think this is obvious, but most
of the magazines then, and now, completely fail
on this front.
Except AP was more than that, far
grander. Sure, sure, games were it's stock and
trade, but they went further. Since games are
entertaining, shouldn't the magazines about them
be entertaining too? Well, AP seemed to think so,
and that's why we're here.
Having thoroughly amused me for it's
five years in print, I think it's only right that
Amiga Power is resurrected and dusted down for
the new milleniem, to entertain afresh the people
who missed it first time round.
So if you're after some Amiga
reviews, or a chuckle during your day, you could
do far, far worse, then thumb through the pages
of this site.
