Materials: Baby yarn approximately 2 1/2 oz.

Crochet Hook: Size F (3.75 mm)

Stuart Hall looseleaf address book (available from WalMart). Measures approx. 6 inches wide x 6 3/4 inches tall.

Twist Stitch (TW): YO, insert hook around post of dc two rows below. Draw up loop to height of working row, YO, insert hook around same post, draw up another loop, YO draw through four loops on hook, YO, draw through remaining two loops. Do not work in the stitch behind the Twist.

Ch 79

Row 1: Right Side: Dc in 3rd ch and ea ch across. Ch 3 (counts as a dc here and throughout), turn.

Row 2: Dc in ea dc across.

Row 3: Dc in next 19 dc, TW, dc in next 7 dc, TW, dc in next 19 dc, TW, dc in next 7 dc, TW, dc in next 20 dc, ch 3, turn.

Row 4: Dc in ea dc and TW across.

Row 5: Dc in next 17 dc, TW, dc in next 3 dc, TW, dc in next 3 dc, TW, dc in next 3 dc, TW, dc in next 15 dc, TW, dc in next 3 dc, TW, dc in next 3dc, TW, dc in next 3 dc, TW, dc in next 18 dc, ch 3, turn.

Row 6: Repeat row 4

Row 7: Dc in next 15 dc, TW, dc in next 7 dc, TW, dc in next 7 dc, TW, dc in next 11 dc, TW, dc in next 7 dc, TW, dc in next 7 dc, TW, dc in next 16 dc, ch 3 turn.

Row 8: Repeat row 4

Row 9: Repeat row 5

Row 10: Repeat row 4

Row 11: Repeat row 3. * Do not ch 3, do not turn. *

Border:

Ch 1, working down side of piece, work 2 sc in end dc of ea row, 3 sc in corner, sc in ea starting ch, 3 sc in corner, 2 sc in end dc of ea row, 3 sc in corner, dc in ea st across top, 3 sc in corner. Sl st to 1st sc. Finish off.

Flaps:

With RS facing, fold under first 12 dc, sl st thru back look of flap and front of cover. Finish off. Repeat for other three corners.

Shell Border:

With RS facing, join yarn in either top corner, sc in same sp, sk 2 sc, 5 dc in next sc (shell made), sk 2 sc, sc in next sc,*sk 2 sc, 5 dc in next sc, sk 2 sc, sc in next sc* Repeat from * to * across top of piece. Finish off. Repeat across bottom of piece.

Weave in ends. Put cover on address book.
