Coat and Hat & Purse made using:
1 ball... Elmore-Pisgah's Pearl #5 Cotton Gloss, red
Dress made using:
1 ball...Elmore-Pisgah's Rayon thread, Queenslace White
Size 7 hook or size needle to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 8 chs = 1" in both rayon & Cotton threads
Pearl #5 1" = 8 pattern rows
NOTE: Always count ch2 as a dc thought out pattern unless otherwise stated

PILL BOX HAT using Elmore-Pisgah's Pearl #5 Red and size 7 hook.
RND 1: Ch2, place 11 dc in the second ch from hook, sl st to join, ch2, DO NOT TURN. (12dc).
RND 2: Hdc in the next st, and 2 hdc in each st all around ending with 1 hdc in the same st as beg st, sl st to join, ch2, turn. (24 hdc).
RND 3: ( 2 hdc in the next st, 1 hdc in the next st) all around sl st to join. DO NOT TURN . (38 hdc)
RND 4: Sc in beginning st in the front lps all around, ch2, DO NOT TURN, (38 sc).
RND 5-8: Hdc in each st all around, sl st to join. Ch2, DO NOT TURN. (38 hdc). { At the end of rnd 8, ch1, TURN.
RND 9: Sc in each st all around. Finish off weave ends in. Putting some fabric stiffener on you finger, spread it around inside of hat only! Shape and allow to dry. completely.

**************************************************************************COAT using Elmore-Pisgah's Pearl#5 red and size 7 hook
Boat neckline:
ROW 1: Ch 37, to measure about 4 1/2" long. Sc in second ch from hook and all across the row, ch1, turn. (36sc). Mark this row as right side.
ROW 2: Sc in turning st, (2dc in the next st, sk 1 st, sc in the next st) {shell made} all across the row. ch2, turn. (12 shells).
LEFT FRONT
ROW 3: 2dc in the front lp of turning st, (sk 1 st, sc in the front lp of the next st, 3dc in the front lp of the next st) 3 times. Ch1, turn, ch1, turn. (3 1/2 shells).
ROW 4: Sc in the second dc, (2dc in then next sc, sk 1 st, sc in the second st) all across the row, ch1, turn. (3 1/2 shells).
ROW 5: Dc in turning st, (sk the next st, sc in the next st, 2dc in the next sc) all across the row. Ch1, turn. (3 1/2 shell).
ROW 6: Repet row 4, ch1 turn. (3 shells).
ROW 7: Sc in tuning st and all across the row, finish off. (10 sc).
RIGHT FRONT Holding piece upside down and right side facing you, attach thread in the back lp of the beg sc on right front with a sl st, ch2,
ROW 3: 2dc in the back lp st where you attached thread, work as for left front .
ROW 4-7: Work same as for right front.
BACK holding piece right side facing you and upside down,
ROW 3: Sk 2sts on row 2, attach thread with a sl st in the back lp of the next st, Working in the back lps only, work in shell pattern (4 times), end 2 dc in the last sc, ch1, turn. (4 1/2shells).
ROW 4: Sc in turning st, (3dc in the next sc, sk 1 st, sc in the next st) 3 times. 3dc in the next sc, sk2 sts, sc in the last st, ch2, turn. (4 shells).
ROW 5: 2dc in turning st, work in shell pattern all across, end 2dc in then last st, ch1, turn. (4 1/2 shells).
ROW 6: Sc in turning st, 3dc in the next sc,, ch1, turn. (1 shell).
ROW 7: Sc all across the row, finish off. (17sc).
SKIRT OF COAT
ROW 8: Attach thread in the back lp of the first sc of row 7 with a sl st, sc in the same st and the next 9 sts. Sc in the back lp of the back and all across, sc in the first st of the right front and the next 9 sts, ch2, turn. ( sc).
ROW 9; 1dc in turning st, (sk 1 st, 2dc in the next st) all across the row, ch1, turn. (13 shells).
ROW 10: Sc in turning st, (3dc in the next sc, sk 1st, sc in the next st) 6 times. In the same st as the last one, work an increase st of.. 2dc, sc (inc made} repeat between ( )'s one more time, ch2, turn. (14 shells).
ROW 11: 2dc in turning st, (sk1st, sc in the next st, 3dc in the next sc) all across the row, ch1, turn. (14 shells).
ROW 12: Sc in turning st, (3dc in the next sc, sk1 st) 6 times. in next sc, work 5dc, sk1 st, repeat between ( )'s one more time, ch2, turn. (14 med shells, 1 large shell).
ROW 13: 2dc in turning st, (sk1 st, sc in the next st, 3dc in the next sc) 6 times. sk 1 st, sc in the second dc of the 5dc shell, 3dc in the 3rd dc, sk 1 sc, sc in the next dc, repeat between ( )'s one more time, ch1, turn. (15shells).
ROW 14: Sc in turning st, ( 3dc in the next sc, sk1 st, sc in the next st) all across the row, ch2, turn. (15 shells).
ROW 15: 3dc in turning st, (sk1 st, sc in the next st, 4dc in the next sc) all across the row, ch1, turn. (15 large shells).
ROW 16: Sk turning st, (sc in the next st, 4dc in the next sc, sk 2 sts) all across the row, ch2, turn. (15 large shells).
ROW 17-22: Repeat rows 15 & 16 alternating until coat measures 2" from row 7, ch2 at end of row 22, turn.
ROW 23: {inc row} Work evenly in shell pattern 3 times, * 3dc, sc 3dc in the next sc* {double shell} work even in shell pattern 3 times, repeat between *'s in the next st, work evenly in pattern 2 times, repeat between *'s one more time, work evenly in shell pattern 3 times, ch2, turn. (11 large shell, 3 double shells).
ROW 24-33: Work evenly in shell pattern established, for 9 more rows, until coat measures about 6 1/4" from neckline. Finish off. You should be at the bottom of the right front. Attach thread in the first sc at the left front lower corner, wrong side of work facing you. Sc up the left front to neck line placing about 44sc as evenly as possible. Put 2 more sc in the corner st at neckline and sc in the free lps of neckline across the back of coat, (35sc), put 2 more sc in the corner at right neckline, and placing about 44 more sc down the right front edge, finish off.
COLLAR
Attach thread in first sc at the right front corner, right side facing you, with a sl st, ch1,
ROW 1: Sc all across the neckline edge, ch1, turn.
ROW 2-3: repeat row 1. Finish off
SLEEVES for bent arm dolls del eat row 5 of sleeve pattern.
Holding coat with the right side facing you, attach thread:
RND 1: In the sp at underarm with a sl st, ch1, sc in the same sp, sc 9 sts up armhole to neckline, sc in free lp of the next 3 sts, sc down other side of armhole 9 times, join with a sl st,, ch 1, DO NOT TURN (21sc).
RND 2: Sc in the jointing st, ( 2dc in the next st, sk1 st, sc in the next st) all around, join, ch2, turn. (6 shells).
RND 3: Dc in turning st, (sk 1 st, sc in the next st, 2dc in the next st) all around,join, ch1, turn. (6 shells).
RND 4: Sk turning st, sc in the next dc, (2dc in the next sc, sk1 st, sc in the next dc) all around, join, ch2, turn. (7 shells).
RND 5: Repeat rnd 3. (6 shells).
RND 6: Sc in each st all around, join, DO NOT TURN, (17sc).
RND 7: 2sc in the back lps only all around, join, ch1, turn. (34 sc).
RND 8: Sc in turning st, (3dc in the next st, sk1 st, sc in the next st) all around, join, ch2, turn. (11shells).
RND 9:Repeat rnd 8, only place sc in the middle dc of the 3dc groups, join, ch2, turn. (12 shells).
RND 10: 2dc in turning st, sc in the middle dc of 3 dc groups, all around, join, ch1, turn. (12 shells).
RND 11: Sk turning st, sc in the next st, (3dc in the next st, sk 1 st, sc in the next st) all around, join, ch1 turn. (??).
RND 12-13: Repeat rnd's 10 and 11 respectively, end of rnd 13 after 10 shells, pull gap tog and sl st to join, ch1, turn. (10 shells).
RND 14: (sc next sc and second dc tog) all around, skipping every other st, ending sc in last st, join, ch1, turn.(11 shells).
RND 15: Sc in each st all around, sl st to join, (11 shells). sleeve should fit snugly just below the elbow, ch1, turn.
Rnd 16: Sc in each st all around, finish off. { if you need to make the armhole fit more tightly follow these directions:
RND 16..... Sc in the next 5 sts, sc the next 2 sts tog, sc in the last 6 sts, finish off.}
MAKE SECOND SLEEVE THE SAME
PURSE
Using Pearl #5 and size 7 hook.... worked in the back lps only
ROW 1: Ch2, 3sc in the second ch from hook, ch1, turn. (3sc).
ROW 2: 2sc in turning st, 1sc in the next st, 2sc in the last st, ch1, turn. (5sc).
ROW 3: 2sc in turning st, 1sc in the next 3 sts, 2 sc in the last st, ch1, turn. (7sc).
ROW 4-9: Repeat row 3 increasing by 1sc the number of sc between the two ends. {at the end of row 9 there should be 14sc}.
ROW 10-21: Work even in established pattern for 11 rows, until purse measures about 2" from tip to bottom, there should be 14sc in all rows from row 9. Finish off and sew ends tog so that the tip of the purse will be the opening flap, turn purse to right side. Sew 3mm gold bead on for the button.
