To help you get a better understanding of Ianto Ware's movements,
I have started this 'Ianto Ware Spottings' page. I aim to
record any sightings of Ianto, noting time, date and place (not
clothing or apparent mind state - that'd be sick). If you have
seen Ianto recently, I would appreciate any details of the
spotting. Email
them to me and I shall put them up here.
Also, to help give you a better insight into other parts of Ianto's mental workings, I am including a link to his homepage.
Thursday 14th December, 2000. (nighttime) - Spotting made at the Rhino Room.
Tuesday 12th December, 2000. (nighttime) - Grace Emily Hotel spotting.
Thursday 30th November, 2000. (nighttime) - Ianto was spotted being a rock and roll show at the Crown & Sceptre.
Thursday 16th November, 2000. (nighttime) - Ianto was spotted attending a rock and roll show at the Enigma Bar.
Saturday 11th November, 2000. (afternoon/evening) - Ianto was spotted playing in the Trip Ups at the Dulwich Rocks Festival.
Saturday & Sunday 23rd &24th September, 2000. (nighttime) - Ianto was spotted playing a part in the band Trip Up From Mission Viejo at the Crown & Sceptre.
Friday 1st September, 2000. (nighttime) - Ianto was spotted at the lovely 'no shoes please' Austral, attending a show that featured The Legends Of Motorsport.
Wednesday 9th August, 2000. (nighttime) - I spotted Ianto at the Grace Emily Hotel.
Thursday 14th July, 2000. (nighttime) - Ianto was spotted at the Moonies CD launch. He was last seen running from the building after grabbing one of the mics. (thanks N.).
Monday 26th June, 2000. (5pm) - Ianto was sighted today successfully removing the stereo from a car, where others had tried and failed. So be warned, he can now rip the stereos out of the cars of all those who piss him off. Thankfully I don't have a car, but all other people making spottings using their cars, make sure you get one of those removable car stereos so that he can't steal it. (thanks I.).
Friday 16th June, 2000. (6:45pm) - Ianto was seen at the Central Markets near the escalator. (thanks S.).
Friday 16th June, 2000. (5:07pm) - Ianto was spotted in the city Big Star store, and appeared to be making crass comments about his grandma. A real potty-mouth supposedly. (thanks N.).
Saturday 10th June, 2000. (nighttime) - Ianto was seen at the Winterfest, reportedly doing some sort of sign-language, and throwing the 'horned hunter' around like there was no tomorrow.
Thursday 8th June, 2000. (nighttime) - Ianto was spotted at some sort of Neoist gathering. Word has it on the streets that he's some sort of neoist or communist...
Tuesday 30th May, 2000. (5:25pm) - Ianto was spotted sitting on the back of a bus on the left window side scratching his chin. I spotted him.
Thursday 11th May, 2000. (nighttime) - Another preemptive spotting (getting good aren't I?) - Ianto will be spotted ONSTAGE at the Ambiguous Stimulus, The Home For The Def Big Band, Bucket, and Thong show.
Sunday 30th April, 2000. (nighttime) - Ianto will be spotted at the Grace Emily 'enjoying' the sounds of Smog. (this has been another preemptive spotting).
Friday 28th April, 2000. (nighttime) - Ianto was spotted at the Crown & Sceptre rocking out to the frustrations (thanks to I.W. for this sighting).
Thursday 20th April, 2000. (nighttime) - Ianto was spotted at the "Dead Man's Pants" show at the Rhino Room (allegedly one of his songs was covered on the night).
Tuesday 18th April, 2000. (nighttime) - Ianto was spotted in attendence of the Wagons show at the Rhino Room.
Monday 17th April, 2000. (time unstated) - Ianto was spotted in Big Star Records. (thankyou Ms. Gallant)
Wednesday 12th April, 2000. (time unstated) - Through clever detective work on my part (send applause in .aif sound format to the above email address) I have managed to conclude that Ianto was almost definitely spotted outside the Napier Building again today.
Wednesday 5th April, 2000. (time unstated) - Ianto was spotted outside the Napier Building at the Adelaide University. (originally submitted by Ms. Gallant, then corrected by Mr. Ware himself (maybe I should just get him to regularly submit his diary or any itineraries to help this research project out.))
Thursday 30th March, 2000. (lunchtime) - Ianto was spotted at Big Star Records buying a copy of "Windsor For The Darby".
Sunday 26th March, 2000. (4:45pm) - Ianto was spotted at the Fiona Beverage/99 show at the Swing Cat Club.
Monday 20th March, 2000. (nighttime) - In the first ever attempted pre-emptive Ianto spotting, Ianto will be spotted at the Will Oldham show at the Grace Emily. (tomorrow night at time this was written)
Thursday 9th March, 2000. (nighttime) - At Supermild spotted Ianto was.
Saturday 26th February, 2000. (nighttime) - Ianto was spotted at the Minimum Chips show.
Thursday 17th February, 2000. (nighttime) - Ianto was spotted at the Big Star Basement show (Endless Forms, Tim Koch, Super Science, PBXO). and a report from someone else.... "From what i could see it seemed that IKW and the infamous **** **** were trying to outstare the equally infamous nigel koop ... Mr Koop seemed unaware of what was going down ... but still managed to win the contest with ease. Apparently Ianto was overheard saying "my teeth are itchy" at one stage. Disturbing is the only word i can think of to describe what i saw tonight." (thankyou Babar)
Thursday 17th February, 2000. (9:30pm) - Ianto was spotted on Rundle Street, "he seemed to be trying to purchase a camel from a rather disgruntled falafel 'king'." (thanks RS)
Saturday 13th February, 2000. (nighttime) - On Saturday 13th February Golden Rough and the Retreads played at the Grace Emily, and Ianto was there to witness the show. (thankyou SG.)
Wednesday 9th February, 2000. (1:40pm) - Ianto was sighted "chasing skirt up rundle street". (thankyou J.)
Friday 4th February, 2000. (time unknown) - Ianto was spotted working at the Pop! tent at the Big Day Out (thankyou RS.)
Tuesday 1st February, 2000. (5:00pm) - Ianto was spotted in Big Star on Rundle Street browsing aimlessly, the words "the rock" and "poo" where overheard, but it is unknown what he was referring to. We hope he is in good health. (thankyou to the people at Big Star.)
Tuesday 1st February, 2000. (4:30pm) - Adelaide Uni, Napier Building - Ianto was spotted trying to find a computer with something other than Windows 3.1. (thankyou Errol, a concerned citizen.)
Tuesday 1st February, 2000. (4:00pm) - Ianto was spotted at a music store which asked to remain unnamed buying guitar leads with money that they said looked suspiciously like birthday money.
Saturday 29th January, 2000. (nighttime) - Ianto was spotted (many a time) at the SummeRosa show at FAD Cafe. (first spotting thanks to Stephen).
Friday 28th January, 2000. (nighttime) - My spotting again, Ianto was seen at a Moonies show (who incidentally were supported by Baterz and Home For The Def) at the Crown & Sceptre.
Saturday 22nd January, 2000. (nighttime) - Ianto was spotted at Supermild, quoth Harold "I was going to talk to him but he was too scary. he kept flailing his arms around. moaning something about monkeys." (thanks Harold.)
Thursday 20th January, 2000. (nighttime) - I spotted Ianto at the Blank Tapes CD Sampler #2 Launch Gig. (thanks for coming along Ianto.)
Sunday 16th January, 2000. (time unknown) - Ianto was seen at The Empress Hotel, "possibly nodding his head a little during high pass filter." (thankyou Alex.)
Friday 14th January, 2000. (time unknown) - Ianto was spotted "playing, insouciantly, on a playground in the rural city (Horsham welcomes natural gas!) of Horsham, Victoria." (thankyou Luella)
Thursday 13th January, 2000. (10:14pm) - Ianto was spotted at Supermild. (thankyou J.)
Tuesday 28th December, 1999. (assumedly late) - This spotting places Ianto Ware in the Prince Albert at the same time as Masongreystrange. (thankyou secret informer)
Monday 27th December, 1999. (10:30pm) - Ianto was spotted in Cargo, seated, during a Superscience set. Thanks to Michael (?) for pointing him out (and doing the robot).
Friday 17th December, 1999. (9pm) - Finally, another spotting made by myself! Ianto was spotted at the Prince Albert partaking in the intake of music.
Wednesday 15th December, 1999. (late) - Ianto was spotted at the recent Smog gig at the Crown & Sceptre Hotel, huddled up the front with a bunch of friends. "The next day I heard that a bunch of 'kids' sat up the front had been squirting Mr Smog with water pistols during his set & he'd threatened to "punch 'em". Coincidence? I think not."-Jon.
Tuesday 23rd November, 1999. (1:34pm) - King William Street; Ianto was seen sitting on a bench near the Haighes shop.
Tuesday 23rd November, 1999. (2:45pm) - buying a microphone at Derringers. (thanks to the good people at Derringers for this spotting.)
Thursday 18th November, 1999. (12:18pm) - seen outside Hungry Jacks on Rundle Street. (like a Mandlebrot image, the patterns emerge....)
Thursday 18th November, 1999. (1:50pm) - seen in Big Star on Rundle Street. (thankyou to Bark Bark Banana for the two sightings above.)
Thursday 18th November, 1999. (time unknown) - "he was spotted on a bus travelling to the city...AND...whilst travelling a small continuous beeping occured from the interior of his bag."Was it a bomb?" I here you scream!!!?...No my wacky friend...to everyones shock and horror young Ianto pulled and alarm clock out of his bag and switched it off." Friday 12th November, 1999. (night-time) - seen at the Girls With Power Tools gig at the Crown and Sceptre, wearing a ******** ***** ****** and sitting on a rather comfortable chair.
