TELETOON
ON TELEVISION
TELETOON
is Canada's first and only specialty channel totally dedicated to
the wonderful world of animation, 24 hours a day. With English and
French language services, the network offers cartoons and other forms
of animation, from Canada and around the planet, for audiences of
all ages.
TELETOON
is for everybody. But some time slots definitely cater to kids, so
TELETOON will ensure that there are 12 hours each weekday of programming
suitable for unsupervised viewing. During this time, the violence
is kept out of the programming to help offer children a more wholesome
world view. As well, the Pre-School block will be commercial-free.

Cartoons are the big draw for school-aged kids and TELETOON's got
plenty to thrill them. There's action adventure, whimsy, comic strip

And
for adults with big imaginations, starting at 9:30pm TELETOON also
caters to more mature viewers. Check out some of the titles we have
to offer.
TELETOON
ONLINE
The
TELETOON website was created to complement our television broadcasts.
It provides a source of information - as well as creating interest
- in animation.
Safety
Presenting a child-safe web site is important to TELETOON. Since animation
fans range in age from 2 to 102 years, we created a web site to reflect
such a wide ranging group. We have ensured that every page is safe
for viewing regardless of age. Keep in mind that children can leave
the site to surf elsewhere and therefore it is important for parents
to take an active role in their childrens online computer use.
Web
Site Maintenance
The TELETOON web site is maintained by our Web Department. The brief
descriptions of each program are taken from information provided by
each distributor.
Every
page has been checked by TELETOON staff to ensure suitability for
children of all ages.
Images
All of the images on the web site are protected by copyright, and
we thank the animation companies and producers for permission to use
them. We have ensured that the web site contains no image of a sexual,
violent or offensive nature. Please see our copyright
page for more information.

It's
New!
Entering only our third season, TELETOON will provide Canadians with
lots of fresh new programming. In fact, over 50% of our programming
will be new to Canadian telelvision. And, by combining top-notch new

Dimension - TELETOON will have a schedule that's second to none.
It's
Canadian!
Canada is world-renowned for its expertise in animation and TELETOON
will help create and showcase more top-notch programs from this country's

40% in Canadian content in the first year, the figure will grow to
60% by year 2002. TELETOON will spend over 5 million dollars on Canadian
production in 1998-1999, and each year after that, 40% of the previous
year's revenue will go to support Canada's renowned animation production
industy.
TELETOON
will draw upon the strengths of the French and English markets, while
catering to the individual needs of both. The French-language signal
is available everywhere in Canada in Eastern Time, as well as two
English language feeds, one in Pacific and one in Eastern Time.
