IRISH LASSIE
I thought this would make a good St Paddies Day contribution....... Last year for Christmas, my very good friend Joyce, who lives in Australia, sent me a "Rose Bud" doll dressed in the cutest outfit. I asked her if this was her own design and if I could put the pattern up on my web site. Well, she was tickled about this and sent me the pattern. She works in tiny
thread and this was made in size 40 thread. Since a lot of ladies don't work in such tiny thread, I interpreted the pattern where it could be made in size 10 thread. I have just started using a (to me) new thread, Hilos Omega Nylon and really love it and the way it works up, so I used it for this pattern, As we all know scanners do not (for some reason) scan the color green well. This outfit is worked in the Hilos Omega #2 Nylon in dark Kelly Green that truly shimmers in the light, trimmed in America's best white rayon. The two threads work very well together. This pattern sized to fit the "Rose Bud" doll that comes in the Barbie Teachers Set, will also fit the older "Rose Bud" dolls. I hope you enjoy using this new thread as much as I do. In my area, Hilos Omega and America's Best threads may be bought at Hobby Lobby stores. {no affiliation with Hobby Lobby} If you can not find the threads, e mail me (fisnhook@infohwy.com) and I can give you a e mail address to order it.
