The library in the White Tower in Tar Valon is the largest, most complete library in Randland. I hope that's what this place is for the Wheel of Time RPG, by Wizards of the Coast. I know it was before the game came out.

The site will no doubt go through a few more redesigns as I learn more about web page design (and get a better host), but for now I'll keep it simple.

News:
12/11/01:
FAQ update. That's it, sorry. Working on another project over the last few days... I'll try to have another NPC for you by the weekend.

12/8/01: FAQ update. New additions now shown in purple. Updated Ambelina and Danira to reflect change in the Aes Sedai prerequisites. A section for weaves, including one for creating ice and a more realistic Bond Warder (note: not balanced) can be found in the rules section.

12/5/01: Yet another FAQ update. Mari Sedai's page has been updated with house rules and information on their campaign.

Wizards has updated their site with a Web Enhancement! Here's what is in it:

            Background Feat: Wealth
            Equipment: Illuminator's Flare
Weaves: Hold Gateway, Ward against Channelers
            NPC's: Gawyn Trakand, Galadedrid Damodred
Places: Ghealdan, Mayene, Murandy, Isle of the Sea Folks, Land of the Madmen
Wondrous Items: Gold Bracelet-and-rings, Adornments of Vaerlin Sha'raelle, Chalice of Safety, Helm of Majesty

11/30/01: Another FAQ update. Also (Thanks to Morrus):

Owen Stephens, one of the authors of the Wheel of Time RPG, will be appearing on the only live call-in show about roleplaying games and miniature wargames, Gamer's Tavern. On December 3, 2001 (9:00PM EST), Owen will be interviewed by the hosts of the show using questions sent in by the listeners of the show. All you have to do is show up the night of the show, call in or log onto the IRC chat channel during the show (accessible through their website), and put your questions in the hat for the interview. Visit Gamer's Tavern (http://www.gamerstavern.net) for more information, and be sure to tune in for what should be a great interview.

11/27/01: FAQ updated with a several new errata and clarifications. Another new NPC, Ialanthia Nur (courtesy Kyra Saltman. Elana was, too. I just forgot to mention :).

11/23/01: Another new NPC, Elana. And a special treat, something I wrote a year ago - The script for an The Eye of the World Movie Trailer, if there was an EotW movie :).

11/19/01: The big things first. The biggest is that Wizards has put up their Wheel of Time site (about time!). An interview with Charles Ryan, the article by Jordan, a graphic of the world map that appeared in the book, and 3 wallpapers.

Also, the link for the message boards has changed. Please update your bookmarks (thanks to those who alerted me ;).

FAQ updated with a couple more clarifications from Charles

And lastly, a new website with a few rules adjustments. (Thanks to Randy).

11/13/01: Lots of things today.
Three new files in PDF format (a reference table for weaves and a Randland calendar, and a Darkfriend Prestige Class. All courtesy Dhomandred).

Two new links (The Wilder and the Mad Irishman. First has a seanchan background, and both have a [different] character sheet).

One new page, a News Archive

11/11/01: Sorry for the lack of updates. Not much to be done ;). I have several of my characters statted but haven't felt like putting together backgrounds. Today we have some house rules and a character sheet for them (by Ishamael) in the files section (Microsoft Word format), a revision to Kiriel, and a scoop on the Wheel of Time contents in Dragon Annual #6. (technically not a scoop, but since I didn't consider either article big news I didn't want to bother gathering this up - and I don't recall seeing anything this detailed in any rate. Thanks goes to Wyvern):

The cover is of Perrin Aybarra with three wolves (illustrated by Darryl K. Sweet, the cover artist for the novels) and the articles are "Pattern Weavers" and "Beasts of the Wheel of Time"

"Pattern Weavers" has 6 pre-created player character templates (all level 1)   so you can pick one and jump right into the game. The templates are:
Latent Channeler (Ebou Dari Wilder)
Peddler (Tarabon Wanderer)
Saldaean Scout (Borderlander Woodsman)
Seductress (Domani Noble)
Youngling (Tar Valoner Armsman)
Windfinder Apprentice (Atha'an Miere Initiate -- with strategically placed arms in the illustration)

"Beasts of the Wheel of Time" has several "mundane" animals that the RPG didn't have room enough to fit in. They're based on Robert Jordan's own notes and there's an introduction by him in the article.

The animals by category are
BEARS: Black/Brown Bear, King Bear
BOARS: Bladetusk (lanra), Pecara, Sand Pig (gensa), Wild Pig
GREAT CATS: Leopard/Black Leopard, Lion, Ridgecat (western), Ridgecat (maerid), Sandcat (caisid), Swamp Cat
FOX: Fox
GOATS: Leaphorn (gaellac), Longhorn (coema)
RATS: Soetam, Sorda
SHELLBACK: Shellback
SNAKES: Constrictor, Blacklance, Mountain King, Scarlet Puffer, Hooded Adder, Bloodsnake, King viper/Sand Viper, Two Step

That's a lot of beasties! (Watch out for the Two Step's secondary poison effect. OUCH!)

11/06/01: Courtesy of John Curl, a Ta'veren template, and a new character from me, this time Myn Sairne. Note that, although Myn is Ta'veren, I didn't use the template ;). And one new feat from me, Sense Ta'veren.

11/04/01: I'm back. Since I've been gone...
A new character sheet can be found here (haven't looked at it). Created by Mike McConnell.
Timothy W. has created a Weave Checklist.
A new character, Kiriel d'Ashaf.
