Abitbol/Bernadis teamed up in 1992. They are working on the throw triple axel, but have not yet landed one in
competition.  They are the first French pair skaters to win a medal at Worlds (a bronze in Nice 2000) since Andree
Brunet/Pierre Brunet took the gold in 1932. Abitbol/Bernadis' coach Stanislav Leonovitch also coached the World and
Olympic Champions Gordeeva/ Grinkov. Leonovitch was the 1982 European Silver Medalist with Marina Pestova (for
the USSR).
