Faery Gold

All That Glitters Is Not Faery

Folklore tells of mortals who, upon visiting Elphame or Faeryland, were astounded by the wealth there to be seen. Piles of gold and jewels, rich tapestries, luscious fruits. They lusted to have this wealth for themselves, so the greedy mortals stuffed their pockets and bags with the loot, and then upon returning to the light of the Dayworld, found the gold turned to lead and the jewels to glass. Apples taken from Elphame turn to wood, silks to burlap. That which is stolen from the Elves profits nothing, and can not sustain life nor satisfy desire. The gifts of Elphame are not to be seized by force or fraud; only that which is freely given may be said to be of the Grey Folk.

This website is for the purpose of exposing plagiarisms and misrepresentations regarding the Anderson Faery Tradition (also spelled "Feri") on the Web, so that honest seekers will not be misled by the appearance of a cloak of Faery glamour. By the Dancer in the Flames, may the light of truth reveal the Way to those who would be pixie-led down the garden path to destruction, and may the stones of Earthwoman cause the dishonest to stumble and fall of their own carelessness and ignorance. May Dawnwoman's wings shelter the just, and may the Lady Sirena pour all Her love upon those seeking wisdom.
